After a stutter - YES
Unkle - End Titles (Redux)
Immediate impression, full, rich, detailed
but this is an album I don't know that well
On with yoga
Coming back now and onto
Unkle The Road Pt 1
Sounds good
More to add to the infrastructure
Black Ravioli, granite placemats, grounding, tidying
DAC clicks off and on with the pause between tracks.
Do I need to tweak gapless somewhere ?
Can I speed up the response to Play and Pause ? Takes 4-5 seconds before happening

When you get back into Sonicorbiter, make sure the App Switcher is set to MPD/DLNA otherwise it won't work with Bubble. Always reboot ER followed by Rendu to ensure that the correct connection is set in the Cisco SFPs. MPD / DLNA Active ! How do I stop the DAC clicking off between tracks ? Just something to check are the tracks all the same level are they all 44.1 16 bit of are they 192 24 bit or another type ? My DAC will click when this changes and there is nothing you can do . But if it is clicking after every track even this at the same sample rate then it is something else and sorry no real idea why it should happen now when it was not there before .

Much offering to the Gods of streaming is essential 🙂
The DAC clicking thing between different resolutions is very Dac dependant.
I've had DACs that do it.
Fortunately Najda's DACs never do it.
Do you have Gustard U18 in-between Rendu and DAC?
For me that makes no difference.
No clicking.

Infrastructure for the Rendu Neil Cowley - Hall of Mirrors as requested by madam An album I have played 2 or 3 times and like a lot First play, since Rendu upgraded Seems richer, fuller, smoother nicer but this is compared to a week or so ago and subject to the audio memory Next was supposed to be Black Ravioli, but I realised they were there. Now properly positioned Seems better, but I had also increased volume Black Ravioli is a done deal anyway Not so much are Granite placemats, two and 4 granite coasters Oh, surprise A definite step up, background more forward, more detail, even richer sound We all need weight on top of our streamers ! Last but not least Grounding courtesy of Quartz Acoustic Triple Aces Track playing while I went to connect Madam "Have you done something ?" She said after I connected the croc clip And yes, I had Even better clarity, bass, detail, smoothness I can live with this Unkle The Road Part II Not sounded like this before. Wonderful Has some real thump that I'm sure wasn't there before |

Sum up now the Rendu is back to where it was with infrastructure on Wednesday before the upgrade with around a day of being plugged in and used This is a good step or two up from before and this with hardly any hours on My guess is the improvements will continue, so even more detail, width, perceived volume, bass and all the rest of it Thanks to MartinT and nicholas for helping me overcome my doubts |

I feel sure your DAC mute relay clicking is a gapless playback setting somewhere in Bubble, although I would have thought you'd already set that some time ago.

(no way I went in there to disable)
Seems to be fixed !
Requires App restart - I just saw. Didn't restart but it is now gapless
Bass :
Jack Bruce - Songs for a tailor
Can follow the bass line better than ever but not heavy duty bass as I hoped

Variability in Qobuz content
Loved playing the first 2 Jack Bruce albums just now
Quality maybe not so good though
To be sure I had the DAC clicking problem cured I went back to the top of the Bubble playlist and
Unkle End Titles (Redux)
Difference in volume and quality is stunning
The power, range and dynamics on the Unkle album are wonderful.
Bass is fabulous

Sorry to ask after all the time I have been here but why use Bubble player ? Is that the recommended controller for Rendu items ? I used the software on a phone many years ago but did not find it to be any advantage either sound quality wise or function over Logitech Media Server using Material Skin GUI.

Recorded quality is indeed variable, but what I'm finding (don't know if you agree) is that everything, even quite dodgy sounding albums (e.g. ELP - Brain Salad Surgery) are more rewarding to listen to.
