Here's an Android / Bubble, maybe other question
Tablet off for a few minutes and turning back on gives me a thin strip with the track I was playing
Good. Just what I want
More than a few minutes and I have to sign in, click on the Bubble icon before I can carry on from where I was
How can I sort that ?

You can set a short PIN which will take you no time, then click on Bubble. It should take you to the exact place in the song. Seamless.
The only way to speed it up is to have no PIN (please don't do that for your own security) and auto-start Bubble (see auto-start an app for the version of Android you are using).

I love having start and stop in Bubble when I turn the tablet on - before a certain time
After that I have to go in and open Bubble
Will keep my PIN

Cisco cable tried out yesterday, from adaptor to Rendu
Could not believe the differences.
Wonder about my brain and the fiddling I went through
We still had visitors in the house so will leave in place and try again tomorrow

A touch of the funnies today
Losing the Rendu from the tablet.
Rebooted a couple of times and have it back.
And lost again
Testing aerial disconnected from router might be it but still over 9Mbps down
And back again
Could be the new router interfering, currently 11Mbps without aerial

Yes, I told you not to run both routers together! Make sure the tablet is set to 'forget' the incorrect SSID, so that it always connects to the one on the Rendu.

I have more interesting events happening than most
Trouble connecting Rendu first thing this morning.
Ah. No internet. That might cause a problem
Back to CD
Shortly after the mains went off for 1-2 seconds. Confused me and especially the Tivo
Breakfast, dog walk. Internet back on, grabbed to chance to see the World Champs Mountain biking.
Download currently 13Mbps and Rendu playing yet another Ry Cooder album I had never heard of

If they're even now, the v2.9 firmware will take the Rendu ahead by my reckoning.
Your comparison is really interesting in that they both pass through the same DAC.

Same or better than the D-1000 CD was what I was after
Right now I have a puzzle
Back to same track I was playing via Tablet.
Everything is on and working. I even hear the DAC click when I press play or pause on the tablet
except the track does not play from Now Playing or Track list
Tablet rebooted - nope
Rendu off and on - nope
Tablet rebooted again - music
CD still easier than this !

If the Rendu is around the same sq level as cd, add in the other benefits of streaming and you're onto a winner ...

When fed with low noise, OCXO reclocked ethernet, the Rendu (mine, at least) is capable of higher performance as it's optimised for all resolutions as opposed to the average CD player with a standard quality clock. I never had the SQ from my old Ayre that I have now.

All off last night.
All on this morning, clean slate and working fine. Tablet carried on from the track I left last night

Wonder if the mains off/on yesterday confused the Rendu. Off/on power cuts seem to be the very worst for a lot of kit.
Next time I'll check the Rendu after a power cut and if behaving strangely turn it off for a rest
Volume about the same. The comparison is fine for where I am at the moment and streaming is where I'm going anyway.
Some albums not found on Qobuz but there are many albums and extras either unavailable or very rare and expensive on CD

When I said volume I meant check that you hadn't inadvertently turned down the Bubble volume below 100. It can happen if you accidentally lean against the tablet button for a few secs. Caused me a few issues once, that did!
