I arch my back in bed for a few minutes most nights. God stretching helps me to sleep better.

I have no idea how that happened! 🙂 Happens to me all the time. I have Swedish keyboard and predictive text when swyping, is all over the place! Some of the words make non Swedes wonder 🤔 Even reading before sending, it's still wrong or changed when it gets posted / sent!

I used to do gentle stretching and yoga every morning for around 30 years Tried Pilates and added quite a few bits to my session, now around an hour and twenty minutes. Time passes quickly, music on, exercising currently in the dark
Tried different times of day. Very first thing is best. Done, dusted and set up for the day.

After ages doing my stretches and mobility, core strengthening, and workout routines, morning and stretches regularly during the day and before bed, AND still having a stiff back from time to time, often when just out of bed in the mornings, and feeling dodgy after tennis matches . . . The back stretcher has cured me in what a couple of weeks! I played a 3 set tennis match yesterday, serving and running as hard as I could - no feeling my back might give way. Did the stretches directly when home. Followed the same routines. This morning I upped the anti to defcon 2 - the 2nd and much more archy setting. Feels great! 2 x 20 secs with pelvic lift middle and end. Then other stretches and do it again Anyone with a bad lower back should try these cheap back archer things! Usual - consult your (non-understanding, solutionless) doctor first, of course, warning clause 😂 Going to be interesting when the gardening and groundworks jobs kick off, how the back copes. Digging and shovelling esp..

It's funny what my body decides to do.
Finally ready to start Pilates today. And regular as clockwork, this morning my lower back has started to ache.
I wonder if I snuck up on myself and started Pilates without me knowing, would the back still ache?

Had my first back pain in late 20s, that was a few years ago. Took me many years to sort it Walking, Yoga, cycling all helped
Like all my physical problems I have 'sorted' them by stretching and exercise Self interest as well as enjoyment keeps me doing them all
Work at it carefully. Build up slowly, keep on going. Gets better and better

Could also have massage pads and electric shock (weak) stimulation feature 👍😂

You can only hold on so long before you have to move to go to the loo The New Scientist report was disappointing promising answers but showing that the studying had only just started, in scientific terms.
