This one is a very nice summer beer. I ordered some of those this week, and they sent me Leffe Blonde 0,0% as a substitute. It's a decent drop, but more suited to colder weather I can't help thinking.

Well chilled the Lidl Perlenbacher 0.0% is decent. At £2.49 (I think), for 6 it decent enough! Aldi's Pilsner is okay too.
I got some 0.5% specialist ones in cans in return for stringing tennis racquets. Some were nice. Some were horrible. All manner of weird things. Grapefruit flavour was the worst! Acidic, gassy. What possesses them?!😂

I think, without exception, that for every beer I've tried in both its bottled and canned variety, the bottled has come out on top. I've stopped judging beer in cans, which is not to say I won't drink it, obviously.

www.svt.se/nyheter/forskare-at-annu-mer-frukt(Hit translate) Heard this on Swedish radio today - British researchers.. I've felt much better since eating 2 to 3 pieces of fruit 3 times a day. A pear, orange, some grapes. A pear, couple of plums An orange, grapes and an apple. I do this mid morning and afternoon then after evening meal, but early enough to leave 12 to 14 hours no food before breakfast. I quickly rinse my teeth with mild Bi-carb solution and clean between with Te-pe interdental brush, rinse again. Fruit and tooth enamel😱 Rarer treats are mango, pineapple, occasional banana. If I feel like a sweeter snack some dates - the energy food of Novak Djokovic mid match. That does not include my blueberry and oats (or other) breakfast or meal time greens etc. I always wonder if it's what's in the new wonder food in these studies, or the fact that you'll eat less of other less good things, and pushing those out means better dietary results. Fresh fruit is hardly a wonder food though🙂

This one is good - for an Aldi cheapie! Friday sized 500ml too. Saint Stephen - the patron saint of 0%😂

... Friday sized 500ml too. Saint Stephen - the patron saint of 0%😂 It's funny you shouyld say that, about the size. I've been congratulating myself on not only finding what is my favourite 0.0% beer, but also the cheapest. BUT! It occurred to me tonight, that the beer in question, Beck's Blue, comes in fiddly little 275ml bottles, and one of those is obviously not enough, so I drink 2. Suddenly, getting 15 beers for £8.00 is reduced to 7.5 beers, whereas I can usually make do with a single 330ml bottle. I'm back on the Heineken which is also currently on offer at £7.00 for 12x330ml bottles.

Well chilled the Lidl Perlenbacher 0.0% is decent. I've been drinking that stuff for years in Greece from the local Lidl - the 'alcoholic' version is good too ...

Those 275 for 0% are silly.
Maybe for Elephant beer or Barley wine!😀
I find Becks 0% a bit, too... I don't know lacking something.
I've had the big Sainte Etienne before but for some reason this evening, I gelled with it?! Could be that Aldi were sold out of every other 0%🙂

Higgidy makes some very nice quiches. I had a Mediterranean Pepper & Feta last week, and I'm rather partial to their cheesa and onion West Country Cheddar & Roasted Shallot too.

Salt
The boss insists on Maldon Sea Salt as being super healthy
There are many others much less that could be just as good
I only ever put a teaspoon and a bit in home made bread
What does everyone else use ?

I always use Tidman's Rock Salt in my grinder. It's about a third of the price of Maldon. For cooking, I generally use Diamond Crystal Kosher salt from Amazon. As far as I can determin, and according to people like Holland & Barrett, there is no nutritional difference between rock salt and sea salt, it's just a texture thing. Other sources I've looked at all say roughly the same, unless they're trying to sell you one or the other.
