Lots on the go at the moment.
Just finished painting my daughter's room. Putting up a brace and hanging the new dryer. Fixing the gate that snapped in the wind.
Next job was to retain part of the back fence and finish the wire so the property is fully enclosed. That was meant to be done, but there are no 4x4" fence posts in the country! No, I did find one at four times the price. So waiting a few weeks to finish that.
The tree fellers broke one of my 6mm roof sections on the pergola. So will need to get up and replace that (£250 a sheet). The boss didn't believe when when I told him the price of it. Told me to contact his supplier, which I did. £440.
A huge cleanup of the house. Sorting through things after 28 years in the place. Have had a good go in the shed. Now getting stuff down from the attic. The only things I'm definitely keeping are the boxes for gear, cables and bits, and my LPs. Noticed the ceiling insulation is looking old and virtually useless. Will start laying new insulation tomorrow.
Getting quotes to install attic stairs. Becoming a little harder to launch myself off the ladder through the attic hatch.

From my recent watching Rockwool is the best insulation. More money but much more long lasting than glass fibre and better VFM

Not just the foam but the aluminium when it gets hot enough. They only got the tests to pass by hiding a sheet of Magnesium Oxide fireboard inside the foam! Of course what got shipped and used in cladding didn't have that fireboard - too expensive. Grenfell would have burned anyway I think as the flammable would have been around the barrier! People might have got out though! Just shows you the mindset of some of these business people!😠 Profit at any cost. Who's been held responsible for the manslaughter? Bigger cheat than VW's etc diesel gate imo!

Fine unless the house is hit by an Exocet! Guess we'd have other things to worry about then😂 The aluminium skin is a bugger for blocking WiFi, TV etc signals though

Big torch or extension light What thoughts ?
Need more light to work in the loft The big rechargeable torch has stopped working.
Favourites Plug into a socket and have a mains cable running to a light bulb with or without a clip to hold it to a rafter A big LED that sits of hangs, direct mains or rechargeable Will be used for a while then rarely used I assume
Thoughts ?
