Yes good work Steve. Have you brought the driver out more away from the Baffle, what difference has it made ?

Well, stuck on the choice of finish. The Birch and Black finish with a gunmetal driver looks good, as does a copper wood, black and good driver...
The Mrs prefers the Birch finish, so I guess I would be better going with this for peace of mind. I quite like it as well, as it will contrast with the other wood in my man cave.

Deposit sent. Now I just need to let Steve know about the finish! I need to make the decision today.
I am thinking I may go for the finish that Mrs H likes....

Always wise. You can remind her it was her choice whenever the need arises

They constantly surprise me ...I never feel hard done moving from cans.
What are you partnering them with?

They will be run from my Graham Slee Proprius amps, fed from my Pro-Ject Pre Box RS. I am tempted by the copper/black combination.

The colour scheme in the last photo that Steve has posted is what I have gone for.
It's what I wanted initially, but I needed to convince the Mrs. She agreed last night. Happy days. Now I just need to be patient for the delivery timescales I have asked Steve to work to.
The intention is to fit my Proprius mono block amps to the rear of the speakers (as Steve has pictured on his site) to give me a nice minimalist rack. I am really looking forwards to having been through the 200 hour run in period, and seeing what they can really do.

Hi They look fantastic in that colour! I have just joined so without wading through the entire 6 pages did you make them yourself? There is a company in Cheltenham that supplies the kit. But somebody showed me a company that builds them and by the looks to a very high standard. I recently built some IPL Acoustic M1TLm's Transmission line speakers.

Steve, who posted the picture builds them. He runs the company "Electric Beach".
I looked at the kit from custom cans, and gave it serious thought, but don't have the time, tolls or skills to do a job anywhere as good as Steve. There is now also a FHXL cabinet kit available as well. This is also tempting...

Nope. I asked Steve to delay delivery until early July. Annual bonus is paying for them, and that comes in June. They should be here this time next week though!

They have arrived. The photographs that Steve sent through don't do them justice.
I have mounted my Proprius amps on the back of the speakers, which Steve has pre-drilled for me. I am spinning my first CD - London Grammar at a reasonable volume, and I am impressed. They seem to suit my room and amps perfectly. They look superb, and I know that in another 100 to 200 hours, they will sound even better.
I am well chuffed with them.
