The sauerkraut with red cabbage is very nice but not mind-blowing and I certainly won't be buying any more at 9 quid delivered. Amused me that they recommend you eat it 2-3 times a day ... purely for the health benefits I'm sure!

Whilst there can be no disputing that we are what we eat, the key to a long and healthy life resides in the careful selection of one’s parents.

Yes very important Forget the numbers but if I remember right what we do is now judged to be more important than genetics - not by much though

I bragged at the beginning of 2022 that this year started off great for me in many ways and that it felt different.
I've forgotten about that of late. Though not entirely. And now that I've remembered its time to make an effort to keep the magic alive this year.
I'd like to set a goal to understand the biome and gut health this year. I've put it off for years.

Thank you Mike. Hmmm. I've gone backwards on both. No wonder I'm so messed up lately.
Will hot grocery store tomorrow night for carrots and celery. Had 3 bananas today. Though that's already too much sugar at 19 grams of sugar each.
Had no other sweets today though aside from the 3 bananas.

Processed and added sugar is the problem Aim to have as big a variety of fresh fruit and veg 30 a week is Tim Spector's thought

Tbh I'd welcome 30 a week. I guess the most I've done, if you count each individual celery stock, is maybe 15-20 in a week.
Need more variety. I'll shoot for 30.

Great list from Mike.
I highly recommend cutting out the big carbs - I gave up bread, pasta, potato and rice. If you must, you could have brown rice and wholegrain pasta.

Fruit-wise, so far this week I've had Bananas, Strawberries, Cherries, Pineapple, and Water Melon, and it's only Wednesday. Tonight I'll polish off the rest of the Cherries, and then for Thursday and Friday I've got a Piel de Sapo Melon, plus more Banans. Welcome to my new "desserts" regime. Dinner for the next two days will be a chicken/veg stir fry which I'll chuck some Yuzu Ponzu and light Soy Sauce at. I was going to use a really tasty Kung Pao Chicken Stir Fry Sauce I'd bought a few weeks back, until I looked a bit closer and saw that for every 100g it contains 34g of Carbohydrates, of which 30g is sugars, which would total out at 36g of sugar for a big stir fry. Is that really a lot, over 2 days? I can't make my mind up.

Difficult to say - guess it depends how much high sugar fruit you are eating Paul. It does illustrate how much sugar they put into some of those tasty sauces!

Having just revamped next week's grocery order, and hit up Amazon too, I've decided that the best way of doing things is to gather a collection of Soy, Oyster, and other sauces to use in stir-fries. At least that way I can regulate what goes into the wok a bit better.

Told by Senior management to eat cake, specially made by Junior Management for her Birthday Nice cake, small/medium size piece. Coffee icing sugar topping.
Felt a bit odd, urgent trip to the small room. Stomach feels odd Think the bin is the best place for this, certainly the icing sugar part

Watch out for the sugar content of bananas, pineapple and other tropical fruits. 'Hard' fruits like apples and pears can be a better option.
