Hamilton gave a lesson in coming back from a bad weekend, something of a strength these days, making him always dangerous. Superb win, a perfect weekend. Great result for Norris, too. I want Red Bull to do better as they're almost, but not quite, at a competitive level. It'll be no good looking to Ferrari for a fight.

Another good race...at least for some! Lewis is heavy on experience nowadays, I suspect others are getting there on raw speed (in the dry) but his strategic head is amazing. Lando should really come on now with confidence, he’s earned it. Albion needs to find a more clever way to overtake or defend....somehow he’s inviting contact.

Wholeheartedly agree with your comments and observations Jachawk, Martin and Clive.
I can always tell and appreciate when, genuine and proper F1 fans, who understand the sport and know what they are talking about. It's nice to see and refreshing.

So much insight from every Mercedes debrief. There's a funny moment in this one, too.

Phenomenal qualy results from the Hungaroring.
The Mercedes engined cars dominated with Mercedes and Racing Point occupying the top 4 positions. Shoutout to Russell for getting 12th, too.

Absolutely phenomenal effort by the Red Bull team to fix Verstappen's car on the grid after his accident on the warm-up lap. I've never seen or heard of a steering arm being replaced so fast on an F1 car. Respect.
Majestic win by Hamilton to put him at the top of the standings, including an extra point for fastest lap.

Very smooth drive and astonishing that he can accelerate so hard and so early coming out of the corners.
Another brilliant pole position.

Gosh, that was a close call. Hamilton was lucky, Bottas and Sainz not so lucky and Verstappen very unlucky indeed. Tyres in next week's Silverstone are going to be getting a lot of attention.
Poor Hulkenberg.

Great advert for Pirelli 😂
Spec shit, wear out quickly, fall off a cliff - you'll get exactly what you asked for.
It's quite a tech achievement actually. Makes the racin' excitin' dunnit!
What was the old saying.
"Win on Sunday, sell on Monday"
Now
"Pirelli puncture on Sunday, they'll buy Michelin on Monday"

"Pirelli puncture on Sunday, they'll buy Michelin on Monday" In the case of standard road tyres, the Michelin Pilot Sport 4 beats pretty much everything else on the road except Michelin's own Super Sport, which you wouldn't want in the rain or in winter.

Terrific win for Verstappen. He and Red Bull got the strategy just right to get ahead of Bottas - then in the lead. Later, Hamilton got past Bottas, too, who must be feeling that he's seen this all before. Well done Hulkenberg for getting 7th. Wonder if we'll ever see him in an F1 car again?

It was a good win but the tyres are as random for the teams as sudden downpours of rain. It's all a bit contrived. The puppet master wants a championship. On a reliable playingfield there would not be one. Merc are streets ahead. We know that. Pirelli came with softer tyres, but increased the pressures a lot. The tyre pressure late change mean the teams have to change lots of things, spring rates, set up etc etc. If Merc could have set their own pressures, they could have won on a 3 or perhaps even 4 stop, if necessary 🙄 It irks the engineer in me (as does DRS), that it should have come to this. From a liven it up a bit pov, it's okay.
