In pre-season testing so far the car in front is a Mercedes. No need to type who the driver is.

Have you seen the footage of Hamilton's push-pull steering wheel? That's going to cause an inquiry, I'm fairly sure.

That looks like a very clever idea, evening out tyre temperatures has got to give an advantage.
Yet more work for the driver though.

Yet more work for the driver though. I was thinking that. An F1 cockpit is a very busy place indeed. The way they make adjustments to steering wheel controls while approaching corners at terrifying speeds is quite jaw dropping.

This is the relevant bit...
My bold. It reads like an admission that some loophole was discovered and that they have closed it for this season while covering up the fact that Ferrari (as we know) found some extra power for a while and then lost it when told there would be an investigation.

I put that into the C-19 thread. But suspect the race will be canned to be honest. In fact I suspect the whole season may have to be rethought.

Gents, I have been watching an astounding documentary about Steve McQueen and the making of his Le Mans epic. I'm not a motor racing fan but found it absolutely gripping - the archive footage mixed with old and new interviews is so skilfully put together. You get a really special insight into what made this dude really tick and how the way they put Le Mans together was completely ground-breaking at the time. Not surprising, but where will he go? I can't see Mercedes replacing Bottas with Vettel as he is not likely to have a harmonious relationship with Hamilton, who is likely to stay.
If Sainz goes to Ferrari, would McLaren take Vettel? I would prefer Sainz to stay at McLaren as I think he and the team are working very well with each other.

It's looking very like Sainz is moving to Ferrari. I like him a lot and just hope he doesn't get eaten by the Ferrari political machine or develops an acrimonious relationship with Leclerc.

"Sainz set to replace Vettel at Ferrari in 2021
McLaren's Carlos Sainz Jr looks set to replace Sebastian Vettel at Ferrari in 2021, after the four-time Formula 1 champion's departure from the Scuderia was announced on Tuesday - while rumours link Daniel Ricciardo with a move to McLaren"

Danny Ric needs a good car and the McLaren is progressing in the right direction, unlike Renault.
