I doubt Bottas would have obeyed and Hamilton doesn't like winning that way.

Speaking about Hamilton, I understand he is looking for £40 million to renew his contract with Mercedes, And Toto wants Hamilton to take a cut in the region of £20 million.
Now, with Vettel in the wings without a drive next season, could that develop into an interesting situation ?

That story is fake news. Both have announced that contract talks haven't even begun yet.

I doubt Bottas would have obeyed and Hamilton doesn't like winning that way. No, they would have swapped again before the line or just factored in the 5 seconds, with Hammy ahead. Once Albon out it was lowish risk. 1-2 merc, Botty gets the win. Merc not thinking fast! It was the first thing Coulthard and Webber thought of, seconds after the penalty was shown, with plenty of laps to do it.

Hamilton was robbed IMO, the in car footage showed he did nothing wrong.

It's racing pure and simple, if they all left enough space to get a lorry through then they would be criticised for not defending the line, all the Hamilton haters are baying for blood though. In my opinion it was a risky move by Albon with a 50/50 chance of success, experience is what he needs and it would have told him to sit tight and wait for a better opportunity, instead he tries to drive round the outside again and throws away a solid third place.

I'm a big Alonso fan, not sure if Renault are capable of mixing it with the 3 top teams though which will frustrate him, i think the even bigger question is where will Vettel end up after his Ferrari contract expires? personally I like Seb he's got to a stage in his carrier where he dosn't need to prove anything and maybe that's what's missing i don't know, i think he needs a solid season with Ferrari either beating his team mate or within a few points and then i think the offers will start to come.

But, where would the offers come from ?If he has a good season then possibly Merc as they would love a German driver in the Silver Arrow, but he would need a really good season, maybe Alfa Romeo as a replacement for Kimi if the 2020 season doesn't go well he may think this is the time to move on as he'll be 42 next year, or even Haas, but as i've said i think the ball is in his court and he needs a solid season with few mistakes to make other teams sit up and take notice of him.

I think Vettel has cooked his goose with the latest in a long series of on-track errors. I can't see Mercedes wanting him when they have George Russell on their books.

Yeah, a return with a Merc seat would have been different, but no dice. The team that propelled Renault to the top back then, is long gone. Let's hope for some stellar drives though.

What happened Charles!!!! Like Albon he tried a marginal move which put him out of the race, 2 or 3 more bad finishes and i think Ferrari will pull the plug on 2020 which to be honest i think will happen as they have dropped from a potential 2nd place team down to maybe 5th place team. Merc continue to show dominance, the haters will continue to hate and not give Hamilton the credit he actually deserves, but he didn't put a foot wrong in qualifying or the race.
