As we were discussing the new Bond film in another thread...
Production on Bond 25 has reportedly come to a halt after Craig, Daniel Craig, suffered an injury on set. The actor, 51, who has played 007 since 2005, is believed to have slipped and hurt his ankle during a scene shot in Jamaica.
“He was sprinting during filming when he slipped and fell quite awkwardly,” a source told (that piece of shit the S*n, which masquerades as) a newspaper. “He was in quite a lot of pain and was complaining about his ankle. As you’d expect he was also pretty angry that it had happened. He threw his suit jacket on the ground in sheer frustration.” Yes, Bond had a hissy fit!!!
It’s not the first time Craig, Daniel Craig, has sustained an injury while playing 007. While shooting Casino Royale, he had two of his teeth knocked out during his first stunt scene in the role. A few years later he tore a muscle in his shoulder, hurt his ribs and sliced off the tip of his fourth finger on the set of Quantum of Solace. Then in 2015, while shooting Spectre, production was postponed for two weeks so he could recover from a knee injury.
Back to Bond #25 - according to Mister A. Source: “They don’t have a script, there’s no title, it is nearly five years since the last Bond. It starts with a retired Bond living in wedded bliss, but the rest of the script is still being worked over.” As far as I can see that's already more of a plot than most of the Roger Moore Bond films ever had.

The omens are not looking good for this last Bond, but I hope they get it together.
I love the early Roger films - Moonraker, Spy who loved me, Live and Let Die - all great fun ...

Apparently a guy called Richard Madden is hot favourite to be the next Bond. I had to look him up as never heard of him!

I'm convinced that the curse is due to Bond's new ride for the movie being another Aston Martin, a £250K zero-emissions ELECTRIC Aston Martin. Fleming must be spinning.

The insinuation is that there are "Green" motor vehicles out there. What a load of fucking nonsense! They're all bad for the environment!!!
There are vehicles that chuck noxious fumes out of the exhaust pipe, and there are vehicles that have just as bad an overall environmental impact because of the chemistry involved in producing the batteries needed to power the damned things. On top of which there is not sufficient power generational capacity to charge the frigging batteries to run the "Green" motor vehicles. If we all switched to electric vehicles overnight the power network would blow some really heavy duty fuses.
Perhaps we could have an "Eco" Bond who cycles everywhere

Don't worry, the sound director will add the noise of a throaty V8 to the electric car.

I loved the old old cable car scene when Bonds fighting with Jaws in Moonraker.
Moore was acting then it cuts, stunt man steps in and takes over the fight. He's then required to do a fall and hang off the side of the cable car. To do this would have meant a cut,get harnessed up,safety line rigged etc etc so he just say fuck it,crack on and takes the punch then does the hang off the cable car without the safety gear!
That'd be an injury if that went wrong.

Like all of us, Fleming was a child / man of his time. Had his time been now he would have used modern stuff.. Since the modern Bond is set in the here and now it is only logical to use here and now things, no doubt sexed up a bit though.

However tail pipe pollution has to stop, it's causing decease and death in our cities and near any traffic'd road. Sitting behind the wheel is little better. It's obvious which pollutant is easier to control. The power supply is just down to technology. As for charging points, supply and infrastructure, were there petrol and diesel stations all over the country at the inception of the internal combustion engined motor vehicle? - No! It will be a steady take up switch over. Change happens all the time, the old grumble about it, the young thrive.

Daniel Craig is on the mend and expected to return to filming Bond 25 next week. Craig underwent “minor” ankle surgery as a result of an accident, producers said on May 22. The official 007 Instagram page posted a picture Saturday of the actor working out at the gym. He was wearing an ankle brace as his left leg heals. He had been expected to miss about two weeks of production, and shooting continued in his absence. Bond 25 is still slated for an April 2020 release.
Cary Joji Fukunaga is writing and directing. Additional writers include Neil Purvis, Robert Wade, Scott Z Burns and Phoebe Waller-Bridge.

If the rumours about a female Bond are true, this is a superb response IMO.
