If I had the choice of any car in the world, it would be this one. That is one good choice there Gordon, timeless beauty and bags of fun

To true - NHS Adivse - The exact cause of IBS remains unknown ..............
IBS - Psychological factors There is a fair amount of evidence to suggest psychological factors play an important role in IBS.
However, this does not mean that IBS is "all in the mind", because symptoms are very real. Intense emotional states such as stress and anxiety can trigger chemical changes that interfere with the normal workings of the digestive system.
This does not just happen in people with IBS. Many people who have never had IBS before can have a sudden change in bowel habits when faced with a stressful situation, such as an important exam or job interview.
It has also been discovered that many people with IBS have experienced a traumatic event, usually during their childhood, such as abuse, neglect, a serious childhood illness or bereavement.
It is possible that these types of difficult experiences in your past may make you more sensitive to stress and the symptoms of pain and discomfort. ----------------------------
Think you will find my argument remains in tact best to read thoroughly before posting ./

My "other" car is a SWB Shogun, it can pull small bungalows out of their foundations with proper diff lock and low ratio. Made a mockery of so many who could not leave the Devon County Show, we just breezed by the stuck Range Rovers in the mud with their rubber band tyres.

Just bought a Delica, which is a Pajero/Shogun under the skin. Proper 4x4!

I quite agree - the BMW X series are monstrously ugly (the X6 is simply shocking) and owned by people who don't really love driving. Similarly the Mercedes ML series. They are not drivers' cars.

I couldn't own a car that drank so much petrol every time you put your foot down, but apparently the X5 is very nice to drive.

The BMW V8 engine is incredibly smooth, but deserves a better body around it. I drove a 540i for six years, now that was beauty and beastly all in one.

Is that a statement of fact, or an opinion. Opinion, of course However, in my opinion, no tub of lard 4x4 can be a drivers' car simply because it has other primary functions, like off-roading, which severely compromise its handling and performance.
A drivers' car is simply one that is honed for the enjoyment of driving over and above load carrying, off-roading or soft comfortable ride. Sports cars and the old concept of the GT (Grand Tourer) qualify, although I tend towards the latter as I don't like coarse engineering.

I would still covet a V-8 diesel Range Rover though, or even the sport as second choice.

They are not drivers' cars. ____________________________ Some cars are not meant to be drivers cars at all. Like the Mercedes S Class that I have owned half a dozen, they wafted me up and down motorways without any drama. Then there is the second car like my Shogun that has a job to do, and that is moving large things and launching/recovering boats. But here's a laugh, I once bought a ML500 V8 that did in fact unlike the X5, have a proper mechanical low ratio switchabe gearbox, and it would tow a boat through a field to a barn. And it went like the wind, but fuel consumption could drop to 11mpg.................... Here in Devon you see a lot of ML's with tow bars, that says something. The X5 is more at home in the French Alps where a dusting of snow is no problem. Horses for courses (X6 excepted).................
