So when can we expect the first prototype?

Is the cover artwork an indication of your likely reaction?

Yes. Apparently the sound is so exciting you cover yourself in mud, wait till it dries, and start screaming with excitement. It's tiny. Much smaller than I thought it would be.

Interesting palm lines - I predict you will meet a tall, dark, handsome stranger.

Quick recap on my current system as the Digione has been rested / retired.
Asus Tinkerboard S > Oehlbach XXL Masterclock > Topping D70 > Chinese RVC > Audio Synthesis Desire Decade > Sonus Faber Venere 2.5
Still got more assessment to do on the Tinker. Was hugely improved by addition of John's battery power but have now acquired a 3A Powerbank to do the job.
I was using a reasonably fancy cable with the Digione so going to try a couple of more upmarket usb cables in the new set up to see if there any gains to be had.
After that, who knows ... 😁

Guys, a little advice on importing from China please ...
I'd like to know what the absolute minimum is that I could be charged, assuming the item is 'undervalued'. Does everything get a VAT charge and a Royal Mail delivery charge?

At the minimum (without duty), you'll get VAT and a circa £12 handling charge. Whether they believe the under-value is anyone's guess. HMRC make it up as they go along, including what band of duty they apply.

On anything over £15 they might add 5% import tax, they add that to the postage and item cost and it's 20% on top of that total, then there will be at least an £8 collection fee.

Anyone have any recommendations for budget XLR interconnects?
I have read that Mogami 4529 is a good 'un.

Just took out a new contract with Sky Broadband, paying less money than I was and getting a new router into the bargain.
Giving a stonking 70mb wifi which is massively superior to the old router, and 75mb ethernet to my mac.
It comes with a 12V psu so I will change this for a linear and see if I reap any benefit.

MartinT my new mains cable is going to kick your puny no 77's ass. It's a highly modified Belden 19364 I have developed called 'The Curse'. It is draped in 'MikeMusicBlack' Soviet military grade PolyvinylMax Chloride. (patent pending) All the contacts have been cryogenically treated in the 500 year old frozen blood of Vlad Dracul, whilst the foil has been replaced by the exquisite silk sheeting of Greta Garbo that offers unrivalled insulation. Naturally I cannot disclose details of the secret ceremony in which the cable's already powerful properties were enhanced by practice of the dark arts. Its mesmerising performance has already been hailed as 'legendary'.
