I shall evaluate these two in my LKS. If they are successful, I can see me getting a couple more.

Received the Mad Scientist Nitro power cable. Hey Brett, are you still enjoying your Mad Scientist products? I ask because there has been a new product discussed in the Head-Fi forum for the LKS DAC. They are Black Disc Donuts to go over the two toroidal transformers. Apparently Bob of Mad Scientist has an LKS and has treated his own, too. I've been in touch and he is making another batch - they're not on his website yet. I fancy ordering two. I have two Mad Scientist Nitro power cables. One is hard wired to an Eichmann Power Strip, the other is used with my Perreaux. I got these at the same time my modded SEG arrived. Now I'm never one to add one new arrival at a time. Notes of both the Nitro cables and SEG: More delicate. Sharper. Better vocal decay.Heavier base. I'm now saving up to replace the Nitros with the new Nitro Nano power cables.

Put the Black Ravioli Pads on last week.
A set of 4 each for SEG Dac and Dac power supply. A set of 4 with Vibropods and cones underneath the Perreaux amp.
It bought all the changes I've made, together. Synergy, I'd call it.
Really enjoying the music. Seems that was what I was missing.
My cynicism has disappeared. BR Pads work. Although pricey, they are well worth it; an investment.

The price is not right for BR - until you hear what they do Took me a while to bite the bullet due to the price. Wouldn't be without them now

Fuse update?
Have 2 x SR Black in my Perreaux. 1 x SR Red in modded sEG.
I know Tony didn't like the Blacks overall.
So, Black v Red v Blue v Orange?

Apparently Orange is the new Blue Correct, they are quite special I have to say. As electricity travels at roughly 150,000 miles per second its difficult to understand why these fuses make such a difference.

It's not the speed of electricity, more the purity of the fuse wire (lack of diodic effects) and thermal control (lack of dynamic throttling).

Thinking of getting three SR Orange fuses. Should be noticeable with two in the Perreaux. As for the SEG?
New Zealand is bringing in gst of 15% on any overseas purchase, from Dec 1. In my mind (and within my budget), it's now or never.

Do you have to put fuses in upside down in NZ ? Stranger things have happened
