Great - thanks. Yes, I could see that they were no longer sold on Amazon. Any problem getting the filters?

I bought a bunch of filters with the units, and haven't bought any since. I've still got two unused ones left.

Sobering when you clean the filters or the area around an ioniser

Nearing the end of tweaks to add.
Finally, need to look at equipment isolation. Will next get some Black Ravioli pads.
Have had a closed mind about this. Time to open it, listen to your advice, and try them on my Dac and amp.

Can one have an open mind while at the same time not believing ?
I was just getting around to the notion that Black Ravioli might have a useful place in some systems, but I read their product page to see that they're recommending their use under laptop music servers.
Really? I can feel my mind closing again.........

I think best to buy on sale or return I like them in my system and now have them under all my gear apart from speakers

There is no belief required. It's not a religion! Just try them, they're the best equipment supports I know.

I resisted them for months. Caved in eventually as they are so good.

Waiting on the Black Ravioli pads.
Mike mentioned he used them with other cones. I was thinking of using them on my Perreaux with Vibrapod pods and cones.
This gets the BR Pads higher than the amp feet. A reasonable solution?

You want to make sure the BRs are in contact with the equipment as their effect is one of damping as well as isolation. You could try an upside-down cone under them?

Perhaps a touch of blue tack

Received the Mad Scientist Nitro power cable. Hey Brett, are you still enjoying your Mad Scientist products? I ask because there has been a new product discussed in the Head-Fi forum for the LKS DAC. They are Black Disc Donuts to go over the two toroidal transformers. Apparently Bob of Mad Scientist has an LKS and has treated his own, too. I've been in touch and he is making another batch - they're not on his website yet. I fancy ordering two.

Has anybody tried any mad scientist audio stuff?
You can get a free sample of their Black discus nano, where you just pay postage. I think it was €5.
I installed the free sample pair, one on my Dac IEC plug and the other on my dsp IEC plug, attached with the supplied blutac. I have to say that they seem to bring the usual benefits that other mains products do, like more space and air and better bass resolution. Certainly worth a go. I’ve been on the verge of buying some larger ones, but have been putting funds into redecorating/furnishing the house.

Good to know, Matt. I am waiting to hear from Mad Scientist when more of their new Donuts have been manufactured.

They look good, are they to place on top of transformers?

I use their black magic USB cables - it’s excellent and a big step up over the curious USB cable I had in there before. The curious USB itself beat the $1,000 light harmonic USB cable.
