Well against my grain I' am trailing some Alien poo from area 47. (seriously no other way of discribing it as it sparkles in the light) Although this time I've taken some before RF readings on three sperate components. Next I'll do some with the Martian faeces in place. Looks like 2024 is going to be an odd year  Are you sure you don't mean Area 51, Tony?   |

Actually if you sawed that poo in the picture in half, made it a Mr Whippy style and added sprinkles that twinkle thats really what they look like  seriously! |

Have bought a unit to house my system.
A one dollar item.
Will house and hide my equipment.
I mostly have Black Ravioli pads under my gear.
Any benefit from placing some form of isolation footers under the unit's legs?

As much isolation as you can.
I picked up some Creaktiv shelves on Ebay
Wondering about putting them under the D-1000 - CD/DAC/Pre
to join the Black Ravioli, Electric Beach shelf, Black ravioli on a Creaktiv rack
May be the law of diminishing returns but who knows

More isolation is nearly always good. I modified my Solid Tech Duo rack to take RDC Cones at the base of the pillars.

I mapped out my entire system on Saturday.
Works better for me with words rather than diagrams.
A very worthwhile exercise.
Makes next gaps/steps so easy to see.
Have found a few things that would be of benefit.
Wondered about the benefit of replacing the Modem's RG6 cable.
Will see how things unfold over the next 18 months or so.
1. Isolation feet under my system cabinet
- picked that up today. Requires a little work to make it fit my system
2. Install ethernet cable to my streamer (currently using a wifi extender)
- currently looking at how easy it is do you it myself
3. Set up my Intel Nuc with Roon, and connect
- may need a Linear Power Supply and power cable in the future
Then, anything is possible, so...
4. Watch with interest the to-be-released Leo Bodnar clock
5. At least consider Uptone Audio's new USB product (due sometime 2024, after the new Etheregen is completed)
- this would require a Linear Power Supply and power cable
6. Replace my wifi router
And that would be the end!
