brettj Agree with you, I have a spreadsheet which details the system and then each part that can be changed for example: IEC fuses, support feet, DC cables etc.. plus the obvious mains etc; I then use colour coding to identify areas for attention. I then run a priority list of changes and the interesting part of as I make it change it tends to impact the prioritisation of the upcoming tweaks. These days they are that tweaks, as I am pretty close and the balance is just right that I do not not want to disturb that. But my ODC knows there is still performance still left on the table. :-)

Luckily it's not alcohol, gambling, sex or drugs that have a hold of me. It's either food or exercise, and audio. And I'm close to being finished (in a Mr T. kind of way?)

The schematics don't work as well for me . . . And I'm close to being finished (in a Mr T. kind of way?) Interesting, I think good schematics are very helpful, not so much a poorly designed one. Finished? I don't think so, but close to being so, I'll give you that.

Can take 4-6 weeks usually for items to arrive. Surprised, and looking forward to setting them up.

Looking at isolation feet under my system stand.
Either the expensive route (Iso Acoustics etc) Or Aliexpress.
Would these be sufficient?
Search for
4PCS High-end HiFi Aluminum Alloy HIFI Audio Speakers Amplifier DAC CD Anti-shock Absorber Foot Pads Vibration Absorption Stands
Aliexpress item should come up.

I used large RDC Cones with threaded studs screwed into the upright pillars of my system rack, after drilling and tapping them.

Make sure you find the ones with a threaded stud. Easy to affix to things securely.

What should one look for to differentiate a good grounding cable from an ok one or even from a terrible one? I am only just starting to explore the whole topic, and read some hugely encouraging posts from people whom have tried various grounding systems but have yet to take the plunge myself.
Thanks, Nigel
