I have another Tubulus Concentus clock cable on its way (for the EtherREGEN).
Aldwin as usual is a delight to work with.

Have just bought an iFi Powerstation.
This will take my router, modem, network switch and Intel Nuc.

Just pick up a used LHY SW8 Switch. It's weird seems to work best playing second file to my 19 year old TP-LINK switch 🤔
On of the most noticeable improvements for sound quality is the air and floatiness of background singers when they are humming, very beguiling.

What do you mean by second fiddle? What's the audio chain from router to streamer including cable lengths? I might or might not be able to help you get even better sound per pound out of your existing kit.

My latest tweak was a NOS Tunsgram ECC83 valve for the Vincent SV237 MK amplifier- initially a tad underwhelmed then- Wowser! The magic has happened.

The smart TV, DIY steamer, server connectivity is via the sources TP-LINK. Both the modem and TP-LINK are benefitting from a linear PSU power source, so the sound was already good. But strangely, to me, just plugging in the LHY, by itself, into an empty socket on TP-LINK seems to give the biggest improvement?

I don't seem to be able to also share your original post where you said the LHY was playing second fiddle but made a difference.
I think what you're doing here, and what might explain an improvement in sound quality, is separating out the audio chain from non-audio and potentially noisy devices.
Humour me: how long is the ethernet cable from TP-LINK to LHY and how long is the ethernet cable from LHY to streamer?

I decided to take a couple of studio shots of the awesome Stealth Audio cables, before installing them in my system. - Cloude Grande - Dream 20-20 - USB Double Tune - USB Single Tune

Now looking at fuses for my linear power supplies.
Looking at SR Orange.

SR Orange are hard to come by now.
My recommendation is as before: SR Purple for digital components, SR Orange for regenerators & PSUs.

I am enjoying (2) SR Master fuses, one in the D/A and one in the Music server/streamer!

I'm very wary of going away from the balance I have right now, using a mix of SR Orange and SR Purple fuses.

Not a tweak for sound improvement. One for the visuals.
A few days ago I received a Meridian MCD PRO. The Nextel coating was intact with just the odd spot missing, but it looked tired and stained here and there. Looked for treatment ideas and cleaning with soap and water with a sponge was one suggestion as was using white spirit and whisky being another.
Tried the soap and water which didn't really help and when dried, dark areas round the buttons formed. Thought I'd try something else.
Quite a fan of silicone car dash pads for various polishing duties. Tried that and the stains and dark patches disappeared leaving a uniform dark satin finish, like new appearance. Really pleased.

Well against my grain I' am trailing some Alien poo from area 47. (seriously no other way of discribing it as it sparkles in the light) Although this time I've taken some before RF readings on three sperate components. Next I'll do some with the Martian faeces in place. Looks like 2024 is going to be an odd year
