The update went smoothly. I'm glad to report that the annoying 'back' function now works as expected.

2.806 came through but there's no changelog yet! I'm on 2.799 and it's telling me I'm on the latest version.

2.806 is available for download. Maybe give your TBS a reboot?

Are you talking about Windows 10 or Volumio?

Ok, but you're in the Volumio thread.
You need to go to Settings / Update and invoke the Feature update. It won't happen automagically.

Volumio is still telling me that 2.799 is the latest version. I've just checked, and it's because I'm running the PC x86/x64 version.

There is a bug in 2.806, it plays continuously rather than a single track regardless of the setting. Annoying.
I'm still puzzled at the lack of a changelog. Perhaps they're waiting for the x86 version to be ported?

Don't do it Mike - 2004 is still buggy As for Volumio, not sure how long I'll put up with it's buggy/clunkyness either. It's not 'fit and forget' enough for me, I don't want to tinker anymore, I just want to enjoy music with stability. I know you guys like to tinker, but I can't be arsed anymore. I'm teetering on the edge of a lifetime subscription to Roon, binning Spotify and switching to Tidal - we shall see, but it just works and Roon now does all I need. I like the way just one app will do everything, merging my FLAC files and Tidal into one library and the extra info is hard to ignore. Decision time methinks

Bum Started it off
I found Volumio 'ok'. Not a big fan
Quoboz worth a punt or does that need a Volumio type drive ?

Quoboz worth a punt or does that need a Volumio type drive ? No, Qobuz can be standalone or integrates into Roon the same as Tidal - so any of them is fine for me. Volumio has a lot of plus points, but I prefer better functionality over bleeding edge sound quality and I don't want to have to keep working at it to be honest. Don't have a lot of patience for buggy software you have to keep babysitting these days. Tidal has a larger catalogue than Qobuz, but is a bit more expensive, so horses for courses I guess. I might give it a free trial though, nothing to lose really

As a non-streaming-service file-based kinda guy, Volumio is pretty much perfect for me.

As a Qobuz streamer, Volumio works fine for me, too.
I wouldn't put up with something that has a lot of bugs. It doesn't.

I still live in hope that Rune 2 will appear, with support for the ATB. Rune was the first streaming software I tried, and at the time I preferred it to Volumio; I only switched because the development of Rune had stalled. It appears to be a completely "amateur" affair and is only worked on in the team's spare time it seems.
