Actually, this could be useful. The number of times I've turned things on in the wrong order after a power outage, so that the Asus comes up before the router which means I have to restart the Asus as it needs to see the internet connection present.

I like the new UI and have been using it for a while now.
Guess I'll have to burn an SD card soon...

The "new" interface is still useless to me, not being a streamer. I did have another look at it after the update but it just doesn't fit my way of using Volumio Oh, and the YouTube plugin is still broken. Michelangelo is, apparently, waiting for YouTube to OK his(?) new code.

The "new" interface is still useless to me, not being a streamer . . Michelangelo is, apparently, waiting for YouTube to OK his(?) new code. Yes, I can see that. Are you able to revert to the 'classic' UI in the new version? Google can be very difficult when they make changes without warning. They once tampered with SafeSearch, which is a feature that a school must force in order to render YouTube safe for under-age students. It caused serious issues and took a lot of schools complaining before they reverted to proper function with the main search engines.

Yes, I can still switch back. It does worry me that it may be deprecated and then done away with altogether. Hopefully, there are enough of "us" to dissuade Michelangelo if it comes to that though. I still miss the JRiver interface, it was so customisable, and allowed me to be totally, ridiculously, anal with my cataloguing. I could label something "Classical" plus I could have it searchable under, for instance, piano and trio and composer, orchestra, conductor, soloist...

A very warm hello to everyone, maybe Iam missing something ? Iam using jriver with volumio via the jremote and sounds wonderful. I also did the OTA update without having to flash another card,.

The OTA update problem has been with me since the early days of Volumio. There are others on their forum suffering the same issue. No-one seems to have tracked down the root cause as yet.

Interesting, but unfortunately I use Volumio via a PC 95% of the time, and as far as I can remember JRemote is only available for Android or iPad/iPhone, isn't it? What I actually want is Volumio with a big chunk of JRiver's functionality built in. I'm just greedy.

As if to prove what I already know, I tried the OTA update again tonight. No deal, it restarts to the same version.

Iam sorry if I missed this earlier , however in my setup the volume curve set to linear is very much the preferred setting, in standard mode the sound is much harder/ shouty , particularly on jazz music like Lee Evans .

Volume curve?
<looks at his Volumio>
I see no such setting? Is that for the mixer or a particular DAC? I have the mixer disabled as I want no tampering with signal.
