Can't you do what I do, update Volumio and then copy and paste your modified config.txt via WinSCP or similar?

I could do if I can get the saved config.txt file from my OneDrive account via SCP into the Pi.
Or I can just blast the SD card and push the config.txt straight in before putting it in the Pi.

Or you could stick a "Volumio" folder on your desktop with a copy of config_old.txt, config_new.txt, and WinSCP in? I also keep copies of any image files I've updated in mine, plus my SD Card Formatter, Putty, etc.
I find it handy to have everything Volumio-related in one easily accessible place.

Yes, me too. It's all in my cloud drive. I just don't really mind starting with a fresh installation each time.

And I was doing so well....
Volumio is displaying conflicting Albums in the different sections Definitely not playing Sphare Sechs, could be Allman Bros as shown in the queue
Some version of turn it off and on again required ? Not used or updated in months BTW

Mike, I think your version of Volumio may be a year or so old. I don't think the built-in upgrade facility was in it then, but you could look in the System menu. If not, then you need to burn the latest Volumio onto the SD card. It's worth doing as sound quality has crept up over the versions.

Tried to shutdown Volumio last night, it wouldn't. Circle went on for 10 minutes or so. Closed browser window Removed power from battery to Pi
Battery charged overnight and light on. Pi doesn't light up. Unplugged. Plugged back in. No light. Not surprisingly Volumio - This site can’t be reached.
What next please ?

Tried to shutdown Volumio last night, it wouldn't. Circle went on for 10 minutes or so. Closed browser window Removed power from battery to Pi That is the correct procedure - shutdown in Volumio, count to 10 and remove the power. A Pi cannot turn itself off. The latest Volumio builds are here: volumio.org/get-started/

If in doubt Try anything even if it makes no sense
Turned off charger into battery. Pi lights up Volumio working.
Updated. Works ! Playing agrees with queue !
Who says the technically inept can't fix stuff ?
Hardly scientific but yes it sounds better

I am now officially better than 75% of all tech support departments ! You will have to come over and hear the Pi into a TAD DAC. Wasn't expecting it to be this good

You need to a) share a folder in Windows 10 and b) attach to it as a NAS (Network Attached Storage) in Volumio.
See here for sharing a folder and put your music files in it.
Once done, go to Volumio's Music folder and auto-setup a NAS, give it the username and password for your laptop. It should start syncing your music.
