After much too long I have a Tivo working !
Still no idea what is causing problems with the others.
They refuse to tell the Freeview box to change channels. Bit of a disadvantage with a PVR
Like so many times in the past it appears to be the tech - not me - as this one just worked.
With a working one I now hope to find out how to get the super duper top range one going and maybe even salvage my original by bunging a PSU from a part working one.

I don't think it can be considered good news Mike as it doesn't mean less people are gambling really - why go to a bookie when you can do it online?? Thanks Tony Blair for making it so easy for these parasites to make their millions.
Saying that I won't shed a tear for Billy Hill. Memories of a mispent pound or two in my youth LOL.

I was in Sweden recently and popped the TV on in the hotel room. About 2/3 of the adverts between programmes were for online gambling and casino sites. I was rather shocked. I've no idea what this situation is here in the UK (or Germany for that matter) as I don't own a TV, but hopefully it isn't that bad is it?

As I say, on commercial TV you will see masses of gambling adverts later in the day. Around big sporting events this gets crazy. And then you have all the TV 'casino' shows like roulette that come on after midnight. Hideous. |

I used to love bread pudding. Oddly, I was told many years ago that supermarkets were forced to stop selling it, as it wasn't made with "fresh" ingredients. Apparently, that was wrong.
