I have come to the conclusion that this stuff... ...with some fruit, and a sprinkle of crunchy granola is a bit of a game-changer for breakfast, and/or supper. "Proper" yoghurt, with 3.0 g of sugar per 100g, and as the name suggests, 5.0 g of fat per 100g. They also make a )% (fat-free) version. Suitable for Vegetarians, but no mention of vegans. Sorry, Mike.
That's pretty much the only yogurt I buy Paul, it's the real deal . . . . what you haven't mentioned is one of the main reasons I buy it (apart from the taste) is it's protein content, 9.0g per 100g - that's the highest level of protein I've seen for a plain Greek yogurt in a supermarket. As you say, a game changer for breakfast, especially as an alternative to a boxed breakfast cereal. There really should be a government health warning on that shit!
Makes an amazing overnight oats with some fruit and nuts.

Fage is very popular in Greece - tells you all you need to know innit ... That's sort of how I "discovered" it, Jules. I read an article which commented on the difference between "Greek style," and "Greek recipe," yoghurts. A little bit more searching and most of the surveys ranked the Fage 5% very highly. It was about the only consistent entry also available in the UK.

Check your own toothpaste for Good, Bad or Indifferent BTW Tip from my dental hygienist I applied a while back now Do not rinse all the fluoride out of your mouth with water after brushing teeth You want some in your mouth Fluoride is accumulative in the body. Got to wonder how many older people suffer arthritis like symptoms caused by joint fluorosis? Umpteen cups of tea a day, fluoride toothpaste over consumption, naturally occurring in the water, even added by some over zealous water authorities.. they get a good deal on it from the aluminium factories? Fine line.. I believe there's no easy way to spot it either, other than bone biopsy. Tooth enamel is calcium phosphate. There are some tooth pastes out there with that instead. It works. Phosphate is bad for the kidneys in too large a quantity. Everything in moderation.

New Scientist article "Open-net salmon farms, where fish are confined in circular pens in the sea, are big business in Norway, Scotland, the Faroe Islands and Canada. But their time in the pens is an ordeal. They chafe against the net and fight with one another, and are eaten alive by lice. Beyond animal welfare, the fish produce tonnes of faeces, which fall onto the seabed along with uneaten food pellets, causing dead zones under the pens. The pesticides used to de-louse the fish also kill other crustaceans. The nets are often coated with copper oxide to stop them fouling up with marine organisms, but this leaches into the water. The farms also produce large quantities of microplastic pollution from degradation of the nets and feeding tubes. “Why would you want to eat this?,” says Elvar Friõriksson at the conservation group the North Atlantic Salmon Fund. Yes, and I learned while in Greece last week that Sea Bass is farmed the in same way as well. I don't eat meat, but I do eat fish on occasion, but never farmed fish if I can help it. I also chose to no longer eat Cephalopods as they are just too smart and amazing to be a food.

It's difficult as I love eating salmon. Considering it is farmed on such an industrial scale, the price of salmon is ridiculous but the price of wild salmon is way beyond my means so we do buy farmed salmon from time to time in spite of the above.
When visiting Greece we sometimes get fish caught in the lakes which is delicious.

I usually "cheat" and if I fancy something porridge-y I use Sainsbury's "Ready Oats" which are a bit like Ready Brek, except they have <0.5g of sugar per 100g. Ready Brek, for comparison has 7.5g per 100g. This week I thought I'd up my game. I want to try " overnight oats" as I picked up what sounds like an absolutely delicious recipe using Maple Syrup (I use a sugar-free alternative) frozen raspberries, and Peanut Butter. I wanted something plain tonight as the old digestive system is having one of its off days, so I made a bowl of " ordinary" porridge oats in the microwave, using oat milk. I added a few sultanas when it was done, and chucked some Maple favoured syrup on top. Well, these fellas it turns out are the bees knees, the absolute mutt's nuts, etc. Best oats I've ever tasted. Organic, vegan, and I will be ordering more as winter sets in. Highly recommended.

I am a bit fan of Flahavan's Jumbo Oats too. I add a few into my yogurt and seed mix in the morning (2:1 Yeo Valley yogurt and Cocos yoghurt plus oat bran, linseeds, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, almonds, hazelnuts and a few blueberries) and when i do make porridge I use a mix of these and their standard organic oats.

I make my own choc spread from raw Coco nibs and xlyitol as a sweetener. Again small consumption quantities.
