I meant to say, I've tried that "Mighty Milkology" milk substitute, and it's quite passable. Decent flavour, decent consistency, relatively healthy, and " 100% Vegan.", which seems daft. Surely anything less than 100% would simply mean it's not vegan? It's not going to take me away from my primary choices, but when none of them are on offer and it is on offer, I'll probably be tempted. They also make a " Mighty Unsweetened Dairy Free Pea Milk Alternative 1L" which is l ong life and shelf stable and can last up to a year in the cupboard which I must try sometime.

Still need to be careful what we ingest. How they make those sweet milks deserves scrutiny. Oatley in particular!
This is an interesting vid. Not about milks but about food history, clever wording and ingredients to fool our body (I the mean American body 🙂).
We have no defence against the Dark Arts of modern food production.
It's availability, advertising, taste, reactions in our systems. Live what has become a 'normal' diet / life and you are a revenue success / clinical statistic.

Here's a new one for you, MikeMusic. It's on the Sainsbury's website at the moment for £1.80 instead of £2.40 for a 480g jar. N.B. It IS fermented.

I wrote to Aldi customer services about 2 things they did not sell in my local store, that I had to buy at nearby Sainsbury's or online..
1. Vegan cheese - selection of cheddar, grated mozzarella etc.
2. Whole grain flour. The only flour they sell is the nutritionless/fibreless white flour!
After about 3 months they now stock a range of vegan cheeses.
Still waiting for the whole grain flour.

Wonder why they added the vegan cheese, customer demand ? There was a silly programme on suppliers competing to supply Aldi. Vegan cheeses may have been one
No whole grain flour is amazing Had some Tesco wholemeal bread the other day. Nowhere near the bread I make at home

Nowhere near the bread I make at home Yes, Aldi have long since had pretty horrible vegan efforts at meat substitutes - best avoided! High in fat and salt etc. As unhealthy as other processed foods - well perhaps not as bad as processed red meat - minus the colon wrecking red meat charing of cow and nitrates/nitiles to make all processed meat 'look' nice. The vegan cheese is actually the same supplier as of the Sainsbury's offerings (not own brand). Vegan cheeses are improving all the time. White flour is cheaper logistically. Unlimited shelf life. That's why big business shafted us with it and were determined to get all addicted to it. Wonderbread / Nimble my a$$🙂

Plant Pioneers Vegan Croissants.
5* reviews at Sainsbury's. look rather nice, and they're the most "average to poor" croissants I've ever tasted. Boring about sums them up for me.

They only contain enough flour to stop the butter running out!

Next week the Options Vegan Belgian Hot Chocolate is on sale at Sainsbury's: £2.50 instead of £4.50 I believe. I shall be stocking up for the cold winter nights. Annoyingly, the non-vegan ...errrr ...options are reduced to £2.00 AND the vegan version is 200g where all the others are 220g.
