I had another of those Ginsters Moroccan pasties tonight, with some cold new potatoes, pickled baby beetroot, little Sundream plum tomatoes, and some fat, juicy, Halkidiki olives, with reduced fat and sugar Salad Cream on the spuds.
I shall make some "proper" potato salad tomorrow.

Oh yes. Very dangerous place to go. Do not, ever, buy any Almond butter. You might just eat the jar in one sitting.
Have had the 1kg tubs The jars are often on offer and work out cheaper
Damn. I need some of that Meridian ..... Tesco list here I come

I've seen the 1kg tubs around.
Very tempting for the crunchy peanut butter.

Sainsbury's currently have the smooth and the crunchy peanut butter at half price (£1.40 per jar) but sadly the almond and the cashew butters are not on offer.

That happened a long time ago, Mike. Ususally I kid myself I can't justify the price, but at £1.40...

That's my entire week's shopping reorganised. I decided that along with the two jars of Meridian peanut butter to go on toast, and crumpets, I'd order a third jar, make a Sate, and stir it through that, thereby giving it a bit more "richness."

Isn't it lucky that peanut butter contains virtually no calories!

I've just ordered lots of veggie/vegan salad-y bits for next week, so please accept my apologies in advance for the cold, wet, weather. I wanted to give these a mention too. I'm generally not one to do such things, but I liked them so much I left a very favourable review on the Sainsbury's website. If you're having burgers of any kind, these are your chaps to slap 'em in: " Sainsbury's Summer Edition Sesame Topped Milk Burger Buns x4" They're far better than the run-of-the-mill burger buns, and not as rich as the brioche burger buns I usually order. I tried them on a whim and now I'm reduced to asking Sainsbury's not to discontinue them after " Summer," has passed. They really are delicious.; light, but not too light, great texture, and flavoursome but not overpoweringly so. Get 'em while you can. www.sainsburys.co.uk/gol-ui/Product/sainsburys-summer-edition-sesame-topped-milk-burger-buns-x4

Could be my weird taste buds.... but toasted sesame seeds taste much like bacon to me Not so keen on white bread though
