Word of warning, Mike, don't be tempted by the Fray Bentos Vegetable Balti Pie. I was. Bad move. Yuck!

I've not heard of Fray Bentos for about 30 years.
We used to get their meat pies in a tin when impoverished at Uni! Full of goodness no doubt.

This is what I'd like to have bought when I got the fryer, The Ninja Foodi, but I eventually had to admit that it was too big for my kitchen. It combines the air fryer with a pressure cooker and a slow cooker and more... I've had a re-measure, and have finally caved in and ordered one of these to match my air fryer. I couldn't resist at £149.00 + another 5% off via eBay. Now watch it go down to £125.00 on Black Friday. Ninja OP300UK Foodi Multi Cooker 6 Litres Black

If you want to try a vegan meal or have someone going vegan or veggie... Recommend very nice vegan ready meals from Frys - www.fryfamilyfood.com/uk/Prices are good. No premium as often the case We get ours from Tesco. They do around half the full Fry's range which I will be exploring further

Which air fryer would you recommend, Paul?

Which air fryer would you recommend, Paul? It rather depends on your needs, Martin. The Ninja is definitely the best out of the three I've owned, but 3 is not a huge sample. They've also introduced this model now, which looks a bit spiffy. Having said that, the Ninja Foodi I've just ordered can Pressure Cook, Slow Cook, Steam, Sear/Saute, Bake/Roast, Grill, AND Air Fry, for about thirty quid more than the dedicated fryer alone with the current deal at eBay.

I tried the new "Dolmio Plant Based Bolognese" the other day, and it was quite tasty. It's not a huge serving, but with spag and some garlic bread it did the job.

First report (and last you'll no doubt be heartened to hear) on the NINJA Foodi = Brilliant bit of kit.
As with most cooking the trick is in the prep, but being able to sear/saute, pressure cook, and then roast/bake to finish, all in the same pot, makes life so easy. My stew is delicious, and the Foodi even cooked the dumplings just the way I like them. I believe that a Hungarian Goulash is on the horizon.

I'm probably getting an air fryer for Christmas. Not sure which brand/model yet. Imagine. Guilt-free chips. I bought a brace of Olive Oil Sprayers and filled one with Avocado oil to go with mine. Sometimes a little squirt works wonders.

"It's a journey" .... Surprised to see a few of my regular items were vegetarian not vegan "Might contain dairy" was a good one - might ? So I used them up and haven't bought more. Maybe my imagination but.... I feel healthier. Real reason probably they nearly all had sugar in them. Whatever it is I'm a happy bunny

Going wholesome and excluding the milk, cheese, sugar, transfats, palm oil stuff have given me a huge benefit.

I can't be sure, unless I go back, which I won't, but this is well worth a punt for anyone. The boss insists she won't go vegan but she has moved that way without realising it. Oh yes. My weight is floating down too

Spinach & Roasted Tomato Vegan Quiche Plant Based Vegetarian Society Approved Seeded spelt shortcrust pastry with spinach and Sunblush tomatoes in a creamy oat and coconut milk filling, hand-topped with roasted tomatoes and millet. I thought I'd try it for a change and I shall report back. Their Sweet Balsamic Onion Quiche is delicious.
