LH44 showing his God given class today.
Tomorrow though will be all about that start. It's a long old run down to turn 1 so plenty of speed, frenzy and potential for clattering going into first corner.
Hope Hamilton manages to stay in front in and out of that first bend .....

Brilliant win by Lewis today, shame about Bottas at the end, he did a great job of holding up Vettel.

Hamilton did everything right, and he needed it. Vettel still looms ominously right behind him.
Ricciardo retains his overtaking prowess and is so good to watch.
Bottas did well and was unlucky that the tyres couldn't have lasted a little longer.
Oh, and Gasly!!! Fantastic and pleased that Honda are again proving McLaren wrong.

Hot head Vettel squeezed Bottas not understanding a car can't just evaporate.. Vettel soooo lucky not to come away with 0 points! Without a totally dominating car Vettel just doesn't cut it, time and time again..
Dominant Hamilton drive. Nice lead for hols break.

LOL I did think the comment by Toto Wolff about Bottas being a good Wing Man was a bit silly. But then it is pretty obvious to me that they favour Lewis for the Championship, despite whatever anyone else might say.
Ultimately, Bottas is a very good driver, but Lewis is a great driver and that is the difference. I'd argue that Bottas is a much better racer than Rosberg ever was!

Ferrari don't even try to hide that Raikkonen is Vettel's wing man. It usually comes out in the wash when one driver is dominant over the other. There comes a point when the No.2 driver should put effort into bringing the points home and defending positions.

I hadn't realised until today that Bottas got a 10s penalty and 2 points for his crash with Ricciardo at the end. A little harsh?

Bottas should just get on with the job instead of getting worked up about what Wolff said. He can always resign or find another team if he thinks that he is just as good as the £40million that Lewis gets.

I was thinking more that Bottas had no tyres left and Vettel got a lesser penalty for taking him right out of the race.

Whilst Vettel was clearly at fault (he likes cutting across people and once took out both Verstappen and Kimi in one go. Was that not in Singapore?), Bottas has only himself to blame. he thinks he is a great driver, but regularly makes rooky mistakes like that. He often makes a mess of going round corners when another car is next to him. I think that it was last year when he even nearly got Hamilton to run into the back of him when they were both going round a bend. I wasn't surprised when Bottas was told to back off and stay behind Hamilton two races ago. The chances of Bottas taking out Hamilton would have been in excess of 90% under those circumstances.

So the big question is, who is going to take the 2018 championship? It is looking pretty good for Lewis and Mercedes despite them no longer having the fastest package. But can they continue the momentum, or is Vettel going up his game sufficiently and take that super quick Ferrari to the next level?

I'd say it's completely unpredictable. Hamilton has a slim points advantage, Vettel the better car.

I think it’ll come down to the remaining tracks. If that Ferrari is genuinely faster, then it’ll favour more open tracks like Silverstone and Monza, whereas tighter tracks with less reliance on ultimate speed like Monaco could go in favour of Mercedes. Pole position could be very important from this point onwards...

From what I can make out, the Ferrari is a touch faster down the straights, but is not quite as quick in some of the corners, so it balances itself out pretty well. But I think they still have a slight advantage overall.
Mercedes have Lewis and he makes the difference in my opinion.

When he gets the bit between his teeth, he is very good and more stable than Vettel under pressure.

Agreed, just wish he wouldn't have those 'off' moments where he seems to appear to give up... that would be my only criticism of Lewis.

"Daniel Ricciardo will leave Red Bull Racing" SourceThat is a surprise! It looks like perhaps Ricciardo and Sainz will swap teams. I'm unsure who will end up with the better car - Renault/Renault or Red Bull/Honda.

Just saw it. I wonder whether that will be a clever move, like Lewis’ to Mercedes.
