Vandoorne out and Norris in at McLaren as the silly season continues.
Also Leclerc to Ferrari but not sure this is confirmed yet?

Get in Lewis Don't like it when FIA boss Jean Todt hangs around in the Ferrari garage.. Apparently his son, Nicolas Todt is managing Leclerc and is pushing for him to be in the second Ferrari, maybe Jean was giving him a ‘helping hand’.

Yes, it's all over the news. I'm glad Raikkonen will still be driving. I love his dry comments, too.

Goodness me, we have seen some epic poles from Hamilton but that one today, under such pressure, is one of the laps of his lifetime. He destroyed the more powerful Ferraris. Amazing and worth watching it several times over. Sublime talent.

Now that was a win and a half. 40 point lead with 6 races to go is a comfortable position for Lewis.

Mercedes have finally addressed their bogey track. Very well controlled race by Hamilton. 40 point lead over Vettel - will that be enough?

The pole was special, Just superb. He knew he needed a good start and that he had to avoid any turn 1 approach shenanigans (especially with two 'shunty' types right by him) and he did.
We talk about Lewis but he's a great driver with one great team behind him. I'm very impressed with them.
He's fortunate enough that if ever there is any hint of an issue with the cars performamce engine, handling or otherwise they are absolutely on it, pulling out all stops to get to the bottom and resolve.
Just what a great driver needs in order to ensure ultimately, the delivery of what both he and team wants.

I thought that Verstappen's comments were interesting. When asked by Sky why he didn't try to overtake Lewis at turn 10, he first said, that he didn't think it was very fair given Lewis was also being held up by traffic, but also that turn 10 is not really an overtaking corner.
Very fair and mature comments from Max!

He's beginning to realise that having other drivers on his side will be of long term benefit to his career.
Unlike Grosjean and K-Mag, for instance.

Yup - that was pretty childish from Perez - and very obvious to all!

I am quite confused why he hasn't got a race ban at least for that, it was a deliberate hit. No way he can talk his way out of it!

Win and now and even more comfortable lead in the championship for Lewis. Pity that Mercedes decided to enforce team orders, but I can understand why from a Championship perspective.

Not what 'Gentlemen' do but the aim of the game is to win the championship.
Us Brits at last seem to have that message. The Germans had it many years ago

Exactly ! Not the way LH44 would like it and you could tell it ws uncomfortable for him but as expressed, ultimately it's about securing that championship.
The glory, celebration, money, status etc etc ultimately. If that means you make a decision like this onCe or twice throughout the season then that's Smart and definately what team is about when things are postioned as they currently are.
One DNF, grid penalties and a couple of non top two finishes and things change massively, leaving you regretting not making a decision like today.
It's the combination of a top driver, great car and a team that is properly 'on it' in terms of decision making throughout the season that brings the title home.
Case in point and Vettels mistakes aside, Ferrari have been disappointing.
The decision to not allow Vettel out behind Raikkonen for the 'tow' during quali' at Monza (and with hindsight) was a bad one, thus denying title contender Vettel pole position, which did his title chances no favours at all.
