Here we go again. "We've got your Cai Niao Premium parcel and we're delivering it today between 13:00 and 15:00. Your parcel will be delivered by Christopher".
Christophe has become Christopher. Will he have the package? Can he find us this time? Could there be a customs charge for a £14 cable? Will the ground gobble up his entire van in a freak accident? Find out in the next episode of "The Evri Chronicles".

The subtle alternative is a customs payment charge. For a package you don't recognise.

We must have ordered the cable from different sellers Martin, still waiting on mine from RM as they deal with what must be a huge London backlog.

I am expecting a delivery from Hermes today, and even have a time slot. Interestingly Hermes is still Hermes in Germany and against all expectations they seem pretty good and even have several 'Paket Shops' within a 5 minute walk of use for when no one is in. However, sending via them outside of Germany is something of a lottery (we regularly send boxes to the Czech Republic and Hermes is very cost-effective as they have fixed prices for size irrespective weight) as it is about 50:50 whether they can find the same address twice and so we only use DHL these days.
So between 9:45 and 12:45 my time I fully expect a ring on the bell, and then a chap in a Hermes uniform to come across the courtyard with a package for me!

Delivered at 11:15. Friendly driver who brought the package to the door of the studio and handed it over after I signed. Wished me a nice day and then was on his way! Just like EVRi in the UK!

LOL!! I actually miss our old Hermes local couriers - were actually very proficient and polite ... Same here. We had a regular lady who was very pleasant and who didn't leave my parcels on the street. I have just scored a win though. About 3 weeks ago Evri (as usual) delivered outside the building, but didn't take a photo, or even acknowledge delivery this time. Luckily a neighbour brought it in for me. As it was from a vendor with an address in China, via Amazon, I thought no more of it. Last week, I received a message from Amazon, telling me to contact the seller as my parcel obviously hadn't arrived, so I did, and yesterday they refunded me in full. Today I got a " we delivered your parcel this morning" message from Evri. Obviously no confirmation photo, and not even an email, it was just marked as delivered on Amazon, which is what prompted me to look at the Evri site. They even had a " rate your courier" section for me to fill in, so I took great pleasure in informing them that if they have a courier who says that they delivered to me today, then they have a liar for a courier. I also told them I'm pretty sure it's not a courier that's doing the lying.

I have two parcels coming. The first started in Singapore (QA boxes) and is currently in Guangzhou but due for delivery on Thursday by Fedex. I trust them and am fairly certain it'll happen on time.
The second started in Hong Kong (Harmonic Technology cable) and is in the UK, 'prepared' for delivery by Parcelfarce. It's apparently due for delivery today. Goodness knows what might happen next!
