I don't need glasses for reading, Pete, they're for everything else. One pair is for distance, and the other for working on the P.C.

Our new blinds scheduled for delivery yesterday Perfect as we had a builder in who could do a good job quickly and better than me Except the delivery was postponed
UPS turned up today with our blinds - yay ! Except 1 package only out of three UPS inform us by email delivery is complete
Hopefully this will be a minor hiccup by Monday when the other 2 arrive....

It's unusual for UPS to cock up, they're one of the better ones.
I'm expecting a DC star-quad cable to arrive from Ghent Audio by FedEx by the 20th. They're usually ultra-reliable so we'll see.

Amazon has let me down and my "Named Day" delivery will not arrive on my named day, so pretty pointless me organising all three things I ordered to arrive today. I knew I was in trouble when instead of arriving at the "final delivery station" at Grays, in Essex, as usual, they were showing a status of: Milton Bloody Keynes! The one item out of the three that went to Grays arrived at 14:26. today. I now have this status message from Amazon: And if I do end up having to reorder my two items, on Tuesday, I don't know if I'll get them before Christmas, or that they still be on special offer? Amazon always seem to make the assumption that a refund solves everything and absolves them from responsibility. It doesn't.

Yesterday the Parcel Farce debarcle was resovled the probe actually appeared. It took a snotty email from USPS to Parcel Farce to get things moving in less than 24 hours lol.
Only six fooking weeks, Parcel Farce should renamed Poxy Constraint along with herpes a total shower of shite.
The upside at last its here!!

Yet another five-star performance from Graham, and Evri today. This is getting quite frightening.
Amazon, on the other hand, seem to have re-f*cked up the order they f*cked up on Friday. I cancelled the failed order, and reordered it for a promised delivery today, and yet again it's sitting in Milton-bloody-Keynes and not even out for delivery at 16:16. It's been there since just after midnight - theoretically.
It's stuff I wanted for Christmas, and was ordered in what I thought was plenty of time bearing in mind it was supposed to be next-day delivery. Oh, and the icing on the cake is, according to the tracking on my cancelled order, I "refused delivery: order was previously cancelled."

A big up for DHL here, I have an emergancy warranty replacement board for a client from Belles (due another courier mis handling the original delivery), picked up from NY @ 6pm Friday evening, delivered and signed for @ 10.28 this morning, customers amplifier now grooving like a ruptured naimiee hearing music for the first time.
Credit where it due here DHL big thumbs up.
Parcel Farce need a shafting with the rough end of a revolving pineapple @ 687Rpm with cutting compound and the extra gritty bits you find in old Val's knickers

More mucking about from Royal Mail. I've got a Royal Mail Tracked 24 parcel that they have marked as " received" by them, in Birmingham on Monday. Tuesday it was " received" at Medway MC the main sorting office for my area, and again, today, it was received at Medway MC... Obviously this is one of those Royal Mail 24(Days) parcels. Amazon now guesstimate it's due for delivery some time between today, and Friday, or I can ask for my money back. I really hope it arrives before Christmas as it's my " sweeties" for the hols; Koska Diybetik Halva (sugar-free pistachio Halve).

Amazing. My son ordered some shoes from the Nike website a couple of days ago and we were shocked to hear that they are using Evri for delivery - I thought we would be sure not to get them this side of Xmas. They actually arrived today, a day early - I'm guessing the contract is worth so much money to them that all Nike deliveries get special priority.

My FedEx package arrived on time and in the safe place, as always. The best courier service by far.

A masterful performance from Evri.
They have driven to our block, taken a photo of the entrance and driven off without any attempt to contact us on two consecutive days. Lovely.

Well, you can't borrow Graham. I know it's tempting fate to say it, but Evri have had a perfect record with me since he took over the deliveries.

Parcelforce actually came though for me today. I was due to go out, so it was a good job I checked my email before I rang a cab - and my new (and rather sexy) 30 cm Tramontina Slicer Knife not only turned up on time, but at the correct address too. Great knife, by the way, and very affordable. I think Nisbets will be seeing some more of my money after Christmas, because there are three or four more in the same range I fancy.

Please leave the knife behind before taking the cab. There may be some latent anger...

F*cking Amazon, AGAIN! I ordered 5 things on the 19th & 20th to be delivered today, the 22nd as a "named day" delivery. Four of them are arriving today as ordered, but the roasting pan I wanted as a bit of an upgrade to the one I own is now arriving on Wednesday. No explanation, no apology, but according to the tracking it's being delivered by DPD, but has travelled from St Helens to the Hell that is Amazon's Milton Keynes depot. Everything else in the order went to my usual delivery office of Grays, in Essex. Oh, and of course, the DPD website does not recognise the tracking number Amazon have issued.
I've now ordered a different (more expensive) one, which they say will arrive before 22:00 tonight, and I shall refuse delivery of the original when (if?) it finally turns up.
