I think you can raise a complaint against that purchase, Mike. Amazon do usually follow-up with these.
Telephoning them rarely leads to a human.

"Graham" from Evri has now been with them for nine months, and yet again he (and his lovely sidekick) delivered on time for Amazon. The test will be when Evri deliver a non-Amazon parcel to me, like my new 8-port switch.
It was ordered on the 6th, but I'll allow the vendor the 7th as it was ordered after hours.
The estimated delivery date quoted on eBay is "Thu 8 Jun - Fri 9 Jun"
It's now 17:30 on Thursday 8th, and Evrii are still "expecting" my parcel. TBH I'm not expecting to see it until at least Monday now, but I hope they can prove me wrong.

Evri have finally "received" my parcel, on the day it was supposed to be delivered according to eBay.

The above status has not changed overnight, unsurprisingly, but the drinking glasses I ordered yesterday afternoon from Amazon, with the stated delivery date quoted as Tuesday 13th, will be arriving, via Graham from Evri, between 10:30 and 12:30 today, Saturday 10th, a full three days ahead of schedule. It's almost as if they're running a two-tier system now, with Amazon getting first dibs on everything, and mister ordinary punter having to make do with the leftovers. Obviously my little world is far too small a sample, but it will be interesting to see if stories start appearing in the press again.

Well, Christopher (who used to be Christoph) from Evri managed to deliver a parcel from Amazon and one from eBay on time and at the same time, so that was successful.

7/10 for DPD today. They gave me a one hour time window this morning and delivered on time but the courier didn't bother with the buzzer for our flat and left the parcel in communal entrance which isn't secure. Really bugs me when they do this.
Their feedback form is useless. You can rate them out of ten but can't say anything beyond that - don't they want to know what problems are to help them do better??

Graham arrived at 14:00, and I'm pleased to say that his lovely assistant (I'm beginning to think that maybe Graham is mildly disabled and that perhaps she is his carer/minder) was, due to the weather, dressed in short shorts, and a halter top. I'm convinced that she's part of a plot to make me buy more stuff. Like I need help doing that.   |
