Tim he got nothing of it back in kind, all I did is disagree with him, and then the process goes through persuasion, bribery - visits to his house, lovely meals, even to me an offer of a free use of his villa in Italy if I towed the line. This then is followed by pages long boring bombastic emails, If that doesn't work then the insults and threats start. We have a group of people at HFS who have been through the same process.

It is also about me because the Dunn dissers are arriving to try and push their agenda along. Paranoia seems to be a part of all your responses, Richard. What I see are members responding to your posts, not arriving here with any agenda. Most of the complaints to us have been about specific posts you have made. Well again we will have to agree to differ as I have many responses from people who agree with my assessment, they are calling it stalking and bullying, are they all paranoid as well. Being accused of paranoia is an insult isn't it. |

Its a shame we can't move on, but its clear that really is an impossible ask - maybe allowing both bears into the pit at the same time is not the best idea? Its even more of a shame as I actually enjoy a lot of what Richard writes and agree with a good deal of it regarding the industry, but we always seem to end up here?

I think your argument would have more credibility if certain threads on your own forum weren't jammed packed with personal attacks against literally hundreds of individual members of other hifi forums from both yourself and your members. Honestly, is it any wonder some people retaliate in a like manner? Personally I think it is a little bit rich of you to come to TAS expecting the mod team here to jump to your tune when you don't practice what you preach. That is my honest opinion on this and not a piss take.

Letting this run in the hope it resolves is commendable optimism. People do not like having their darker side exposed understandably but the darkness whilst it can obviously be worse is I hope the exception amongst HiFi lovers. It is harder to leave some things behind than others and just ignoring ones past offensive actions is not the way to move forward. It does not get you parole for example. May I suggest both parties adopt a virtual ignore function if they cannot reach any mutuality.

Elsewhere on the web serves the purpose it was designed for, it is peoples choice if they read it. There is even a warning on the door:- "The purpose is to shine a light on the bullshit, conmen, egotists et al who populate this industry and are also trying to take over the hi-fi forums. Now obviously there are a lot of my choices amoungst them and there are a lot of people out there who hate the fact we have shone a light on their behaviour. They will try to find opportunity to fire back, all I can do is hopefully give them nothing to hang on us but lies. Now that does not make our opinions or posts gospel, any member of our forum can agree or disagree with my posts and I welcome it, and as long as ad hominem is avoided all opinion will stand. I also want this forum room to be a standard bearer for those who believe they have been harmed or conned by a business or a forum or forum member.
