sliding this one into my full cup of tea <boggle> If you look at the better Chinese Android phones from Oppo, Honor etc. they're not expensive these days. Sadly, LG don't make phones any more.

Too much balanced on my little wonder table attached to the Stressless recliner. Cup of tea below on the table beside Phone last on the Stressless table and not balanced well enough Slides into tea 2nd hand is fine so LG could still be a winner Spec of the current LG is fine for me. Assume I can get better for the £70 I paid last time Will the SIM swap over ?

Be careful with too old a version of Android - you need a supported platform for security updates.
Android 10 is the oldest supported platform.
Honestly, you'd be better off with a new Oppo than an old LG.

Yep, perfectly usable, good reliable brand that's been around for a decent bit, Android 11 will probably update to Android 12 immediately. Their battery life is always good and better than LG. I can get two full days of heavy use from my X3 Lite.

The Oppo X3 Lite is an outstanding phone - plenty of CPU power (8 cores), RAM (8GB) and storage (128GB) and great battery life for only a middling price. NFC for Google Pay, gorgeous screen. It runs Android 12. You could use it for a lot more - like control your music, run seismograph and frequency response apps etc.

Odd one that I just today finally found the answer to. I had included the optional "If found..." text on the lock screen back when my Oppo had Android 11 and thought nothing more about it.
Fast forward to a week ago when I noticed that it still showed our no-longer-in-service landline number. I set about changing it, and looked. And looked. I couldn't find the setting anywhere on it and felt like an idiot. So I took to the internet and started to find several threads about the problem affecting Android 13. Yes, mine had updated to 13 a while ago, and yes that setting has disappeared. While leaving the lock screen message with the wrong number to annoy me intensely!
A week's worth of searching yielded nothing, but today I found the solution. You have to go into Settings > Lock Screen > Shortcuts and add Google Pay as a shortcut. Bear with me, this isn't the Twilight Zone. Then lock the phone and hide the camera if you have face recognition. Now swipe Google Pay in the lock screen to show it full screen. Then go to the three-dots menu and Settings. Lo and behold, the top item shows the optional lock screen text, which you can then delete. Finally, you can remove Google Pay as a shortcut (pretty unsafe option if you ask me).
It's obviously a forgotten remnant left in Google Pay so best get rid of it before they fix it in an update!

Try Photo & Image Resizer from the Play Store.
Don't send as attachments, install OneDrive or the cloud service of your choice and just upload them.

Before taking pictures go into your camera settings and see if you can lower the resolution

From the Interweb... Open the stock Camera app on your LG mobile phone, tap the Settings icon at the top left corner to access and change the Camera settings. In the Camera settings screen, the Photo size option can be usually found at the top section. The photo size settings may vary on different phone models. You can set the file size of your photos here. There are different presets to choose from, such as 4:3 – 4160×3120(13MP), 4:3 – 2880×2160(6.2MP), 16:9 – 4160×2340(9.7MP), 16:9 – 2560×1440(3.7MP), 1:1 – 3120×3120(9.7MP), 1:1 – 1440×1440(2.1MP), etc. By applying a new preset, the photo size, aspect ratio and resolution may be changed on your LG mobile phone at the same time.
