I have the Samsung A52 nice phone but rarely get G5 reception so A51 might be better bet. Thee Oppo is highly rated I went for the Samsung as love the fraud warnings you get and then can block the number not had to deal with one of those calls for a long time and used to get a few times a week

I can say that the Oppo has surprisingly good battery life (always >50% left at the end of a day) yet is faster than my old LG G7 flagship. Superb screen, excellent camera, lovely metal chassis, very good fingerprint and facial recognition, dual SIM - I can't really fault it.

I've just installed Microsoft SwiftKey beta keyboard on my Oppo Android phone. I already use the Microsoft Launcher and standard SwiftKey.
This allows sharing of the clipboard between my phone and Windows machines. I can't tell you what a productive little upgrade this is, as well as improved swipe recognition.

Going to use my LG as main use phone in the next few days. If you take a contract and find it too low is it easy to upgrade to more without penalty ? I'm looking at Three, Unlimited Calls and Texts with 1Mb - £5 a month ! Only use I have for data - outside the home and wifi - is when I go somewhere new and want to find my destination. I'll only use it when I'm getting within a few miles I don't go out much

1Mb is a tiny amount of data. Go for at least 5Gb if you want to do anything useful.

You'd barely get the map loaded...
Stop being a cheapskate. You can get 8GB SIM-only for £5/mo on a deal at the moment.

Mike, take a look at id mobile too - they use the Three network but generally have some cheaper deals. Been using them for my son's phone for ages.

Damn this is so frustrating.
My phone works very well indeed but could do with new battery. Can buy one cheaply from manufacturer but you can't import a phone battery into the UK on its own - needs to be sent inside a phone. Forces me to buy a new mobile ...

There are many phone shops that will exchange the battery for you, Jules. We have one in Basingstoke that does replacement screens, batteries etc.
No need to discard a perfectly good phone.

Ah, so they'll supply the battery? If so that's good news.

Indeed, and the chances are that they all come from the same big Chinese battery factories!
