Great to see you are still having an Amptastic time Jerry, swapping them about.

I'm being sorely tempted by this valve pre, I think it's the valve cage that does it for me. Gorgeous!

Ah well, a toaster it is then - I like the looks even if it is a toaster.

Hmm ... it looks like a giant amp with a handy wine rack on it.

I like the way the musical note is included in the design.

My goodness, these are nice. They perform waaaaay beyond their price band. Crazy good new at £90, quite ridiculous. A lot less than that used, like mine. Tonally full range , deeep taut but not exaggerated bass, clear and open mids, sparkly but not forward top end. Great vocals - playing London Grammar atm, just lovely. Go seriously LOUD without harshness. Very pacy and rhythmic. Very good clarity. Looking for flaws, they are a bit coloured in the mids, there is a slight 'cupped mouth' honk on some material. Semi-open back. Nicely spacious sound but a bit intrusive for others in the room. They seem well and robustly made. Very cumfy indeed. SIVGA SV004 Rosewood. Chinese design as well as manufacture! These have made a much more expensive pair of German origin superfluous. Now on eBay!

The Temple Audio monoblocks and Supercharger PSUs have at last arrived. So into quarantine for 5 days and will be plugged in next Wednesday.
In the meantime, a pair of RFC Mercury interconnects have today been unwrapped and plumbed in. Very nice, and I suspect a tad more transparent than the very transparent Epiphany Atratus3. A touch more image solidity and very low level resolution. I reviewed the Mercury back in 2012 for the Hifi Pig webzine and was impressed with them then so when a pair came up used on the Wigwam I thought I'd have another go with them.
