Ok, I see now thanks. I removed the ifi Silencers when I installed the BR grounding box, the two seemed to be fighting each other. Interestingly, I re-deployed a Silencer on my PC system between my BRIX computer and the SMSL Q5 and that definitely improved sound quality. I found the same thing when I tried the BR Ethos. I find the silencers a good cost effective method of reducing ground plane noise and best used in multiples.

On closer listening taking the IFi silencers helped as like the Ethos they are counteracting the cables and grounding box I am going to borrow another USB grounding cable

Yes, on trying them several times my ifi iSilencers are staying out. I've redeployed one to my PC system and the other will remain in my spares box.

Well some unexpected moves in my system My friend sent me a BT 5 receiver and was blown away with what it does with YouTube very musical So good in fact I was going to just go BT 5 Having time to think and Jules showing the Limetree on Ebay I decided to try the Limetree again as everything is now integrated in it and no longer have to use Bt 4.2 to get Spotify Well that is a nice surprise Spotify sounding the best I heard it The sound is natural and realistic with a good soundstage I think the Tinkerboard offers great value but time for me to move on

I should imagine that reclocking will do great things to improve the jitter from a Bluetooth signal (just as with wi-fi).

What are your thoughts on DACs now John, will you stick with the D70?

I see no reason to move on from the DAC I have a few thoughts. Grounding the D70 helps a lot and the quality of the signal makes a difference also. So on the D70 I am using grounding on the coax and USB inputs going to the RTZ. My system has it own sound signature, a big open sound that shifts a lot of air and clarity, This just further takes me down on that sound with a bit more bass power. I hope you can come round in the future when safer to have a listen. The biggest change is the speakers which makes everything effortless.

John, I was wondering if you found any other Coax Reclockers before settling on the Mutec?
The only one I have found so far is the Wyred 4 Sound Remedy Reclocker.

I not tried the Wyryed 4 sound Reclocker. I am sure it does a good job I just know I can push the Mutec quite far I think the Mutec is pretty good value if you compare kit like the SOTM Reclocker

I know you are very happy with the Mutec, I was just wondering if there were any other more affordable options to consider.

Sorry, John uses the non-USB version of the Mutec and I forgot you were asking about an alternative to that.
