Quite a few changes to the system Chinese duel linear power supply to the my BT Modem and Hub. A nice reduction to the noise floor compared to using the SMPS that came with it. Nice indirect upgrade. Black Cat Morpheus interconnect cable. Better treble and depth Modifications to Caiman Seg. Quite a few including a superclock, supercaps and new caps PSU Coherent Systems SOtM 200 Ultra Neo The system now sounds very mature, sounds seem to explode in front of you. Bass has extended. Treble gives incredible micro detail with lots of slam. I will have the PSU powering the Neo at some point in the future.

I just put in the Black Tulip 380 in place of two 370 First thing it nearly double the depth and weight. Sound is more fuller and bit darker. It resolves better but still is as nimble as the 370 A few things it does really well With classical vocal music it brings a new level of depth I can see why Jules and Jerry like it so much On Songs of the stars by Dead Can Dance The Didjeridu has more resonance and body. Everything sounds natural. In the past the shakers were a bit harsh, now just sound like shakers. Brush strokes on Jazz drumming are also more natural. Everything a bit more resolved. I have another one arriving later this week and will try 2 in my system.

On Songs of the stars by Dead Can Dance Great bargain find, John. You've reminded me that I must play that song again, it sounded superb on my system.

Sounds good John. I never would have thought an old Philips box would do so well

These Philips amps were designed in Japan as the their final attempt to break into the high end market. They were too late but the design is sophisticated and still looks modern today. Surprisingly good amps..

I been playing with Spotify and Tidal I do not have the ability to decode MQA and to be honest I really cannot hear any difference in quality, with certain albums Spotify sounding a good bit better For me the biggest difference is the amount of music I have I also been trying to get LMS working but I cannot find any guides that really help. The YouTube video certainly is not helping I would like to compare with Roon as Chris really rates it

A few changes over Christmas and the weekend no extra money spent A big tidy up of my cables with great attention paid to removing cross talk. Had a spare set of something solid feet rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F222433569616Tried under the amplifier a bit more treble detail but added harshness Swapped them over to the Caiman and used the black ravioli that were under the seg instead. BINGO sound a bit more flowing and fluid it's subtle but definitely more musical to my ears At some point I will have to invest in some big feet in the future.

In the past, I mentioned that I have an Industrial estate close to where I live. This can affect the quality of my listening during the week. My system can go from being fantastic to frustrating over the course of the week. It has been my one priority to change I spoke to Tony from Coherent Systems as over time I have built up trust in his knowledge to find solutions. Tony got me to try a Furutech e-TP80E He had done a lot of work with it and I liked how it made my evening listening experience during the working week enjoyable again so I asked him to build me one. Tony told me he has completely rewired the unit added a mains filter and used some special RFI/EMI treatment. Tony also built me a cable as I was one short that I am using to power the Supercaped PSU I first played it during the day on Friday as finished work early and the sound was a lot more listenable, perhaps a touch of glare but the unit was only just plugged in so I expected this. Listening today and the system has never sounded so good. I think what is noticeable is the sound is more fuller, in the past my sound has been dynamic but on the cool side of neutral. Not no more. I been listening all afternoon and just loving what I am hearing. I can hear Roger Glover bass on the live version of Child in Time, most systems will not resolve enough to do this justice. I am not sure what has been done different but differently to the other unit but the sound is making me smile. I will update later next week to let you know how it copes with the industrial estate once fully burned in.

Blame me that's my fault, having been experimenting with new cabling and Roger's rock solid bass lines are clearly audiable and propel the track along with Paices sublime skin bashing.
Just getting the whole track to glue together is an art form in itself

I love to hear your system, Chris The music is more physical also This is one of the reasons why I do not like headphones music is more than just a listening experience it is also a bodily felt experience and somehow this experience has also experienced It hard to explain as it is something that is felt in the body I just presume the bass has improved giving more weight Tony put me onto the Roger Glover test when I last heard those fabulous Tad speakers I am not sure how such small drivers do such good bass.
