This is not 'what would your dream car be' or 'what would you buy if you won the lottery'. Just, what is likely to be your next car and why? I really like my Honda CR-Z and it has set the parameters for what things are important to me. So my next car will definitely be small, 2-door, 2-seat (or 2+2), great handling, decent performance and reasonably good economy. Right now, that looks like being a Subaru BRZ. I have 16 months of payments to go before ordering something new.

I am actually thinking of a Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV to reduce my running costs of coming I to work, and being a bit more environmentally friendly.

Nothing exciting for me just yet! I will need a reliable family car that will comfortably fit all my photographic gear in the boot and am considering a Skoda Octavia Estate - good build, economy and decent turbo petrol engine … Saying that, I hope the old girl (Honda Civic 1996 vintage) will go on a bit longer after her 132,000 miles!

I want to hang onto my Saab for as long as I can. Love the oomph and the space inside
Using my car less and less and not enjoying driving much I might be tempted into something fast. Ford Focus or Mondeo, estate would do

We are going through this exact predicament at the moment, as we both own 3 door cars and that won't work for long with our imminent baby arrival.
I really like my Audi A5, so I will look to see if we can go for a 5 door A5 Sportback but we also want to reduce the monthly outgoings as I don't bring in as much as I used to, due to my ongoing health conditions.
The other option is the A4 which I quite like, although I am not entirely wedded to Audi, so I might look at other options.

With a little one on the way, I can recommend an estate of some flavour. It's amazing how much stuff you will be required to pack in n the boot.

Had a Focus and whilst it was ok d prefer a little bit more luxury and my sister has a Mondeo and I'm not a great fan. As for Estates, I might consider one or a Chelsea Tractor

I thought of one of those when I got my last car... BUT I was worried about the long term ownership. The batteries for example - nowhere could I find anything that said how long they last before they need replacement - I'm guessing the cost of replacement will be pretty high, if not astronomical.. I got another Subaru in the end.

The question has been asked in the CR-Z forum and come up empty. I think the likes of Honda and Toyota are keen for hybrids to be seen as bullet-proof.

Much like an engine failure in MotoGP for Honda is nearly always an 'electrical' fault., even after we have seen what looks suspiciously like engine failure, oil on the ground, smoke everywhere

They do make great engines, though. Proper screamers since VTEC led the way with variable valve timing and lift.

I remember the first VTEC engined Honda I went in was he CR-X that one of my college friends owned... it was soo remarkably quick and could rev ridiculously high, impressive beast. Although he totaled it

My i-VTEC has a relatively lowly 7000rpm limit, but it doesn't half make a good noise

My VTEC engine is a beast - 115HP and a 0-60 something over 10 secs ... It's wanted for the next instalment of Fast and Furious ...

I just bought a wee Mercedes C200 coupe so not going to be changing that for a while. Can't make photobucket work but it's nice!
