Most likely so WC, were it feasable to run a dedicated line into my room I would go Schuko all the way to the CU. However, that said most elements of a system, unless Class 2, utilize one or more fuses within the mains, Schuko regardless. it is only very recently that I have paid more attention to the 13A lines and I have yet to hear a compelling reason NOT to replace the bogo glass fuse that was shipped with mine and friends equipment, with an after market fuse. I always have to question that if something takes time, it is not always an improvement but it is your brain getting used to the new sound. Expectation bias will kick in as well, especially when paying £130 for said item. I'd rather send stuff back on the free return rather than fork out dough

Of course. Radial circuit fitted with a dual pole 16A breaker, but only 6 sockets instead of the allowed limit. It is a separate feed I fitted just for the HiFi etc. Wonder if you can upgrade or clean up the breaker to good effect ? Again -I'm no sparky and be very careful around electrics if not 100% competent and confident The breaker meets the French standards, and there is no way that I am going to alter it. All equipment and cables used comply with the local standards, as does the instillation. I won’t be changing anything unless it complies with the correct standards.

In this case not really WC, with 30 days worth of return policy it would have cost me just £2.70p to send it back for a full refund.

Certain things amuse me highly, make me laugh out loud so to speak, makes a change these days as I am grumpier than ever usually. When I see a long thread about fuses (let's face it these discussions have gone on forever and are oh so boring) I always skip to what the non believers (either because they cannot afford the fuse, have no hifi at all and are just on the forum because they have nothing better to do or simply like a good argument) have to say. Hi-Fi is about using your ears, its not emotionally involving watching a cd player light up or your turntable spinning, its listening that stirs the emotions. So if Mr A or Mr B has spent £90 on a fuse, fits it and is more emotionally involved with the music because of it and goddamn it he/she actually ENJOYS THEMSELVES more as a result who gives a fl...g f..k how the thing measures and why it does what it does. Rant over. I have enjoyed reading about how a tiny minority of the worlds population have had so much to say about their fuse enjoyment. It seems that enjoyment has reached a plateau.

Maybe on this forum it has, I think the majority of people who buy audiophile fuses or other up-grades don't generally shout about it as they are too busy listening to their system. I was once told when visiting the house of linn many years ago and it stuck in my head, if people's hifi systems were so good how come they spend so much time on forums? Myself I pop in and out now and then as I have a busy life, others seem to spend their entire lives typing away which makes me wonder when do they actually listen to their hifi if at all? Its 17.57pm lets see how long it takes for this post to be copied and pasted elsewhere LOL

Agreed, I've communicated what I think and won't keep banging on about it unless there's something new to say.

Its 17.57pm lets see how long it takes for this post to be copied and pasted elsewhere LOL Well, David you are probably wrong on this. Many forum contributors spend much time listening to their music and I hope it is music rather than listening to their systems. Of course you would prefer them to be system listening because that would probably lead to more sales for you. As for fuse buyers, again, I suggest you are wrong, after all, they are buying (often from you) and investing in an unlicensed illegal product. Being illegal there is a good reason for you to stay a bit quiet. As for the performance of these illegal fuses and the impact they have on people’s systems, my belief is the believers are completely susceptible to phsycho-acoustic influence that many of us don’t suffer from. Now for your business to thrive, you need those phsycho-acoustic vunerables who will commit to buying your nonsence fuses, power cords and god nows what else. You seem to be such a mixed bag. On one hand selling quality Longdog Audio PSU’s and on the other hand selling these stupidly, high priced fuses and of course some of your power cords that cost more than a family car. The arguement that if the punter is prepare to pay, you’ll supply it, after a while wares a bit thin. You would do your credibility much more good if you only sold products that can actually be proved to make a difference. Most of us spend more time listening to music rather than visiting forums. You really are a bit out of step and need to understand what proper listeners hook into which is a balanced system supplying the best sound per pound they can afford. Trying to influence and sell to them crackpot bogus products is unacceptable and certainly disappointing. Some of your goods are great at very good prices. Some of them are total nonsence that any rational customer should never consider. The fact you advertise them shows that regardless of product credibility, you are happy to market much that is absolute foo. That completely (as I know you in person) disappoints me.

Many of us have been relating our actual experiences of listening to our systems with these fuses installed. Your belief has no bearing on what I hear.

It's just a nominal date that I type into any forms online. It's kinda like my own April fool on anyone trying to gather personal data I'm not even close to the real one, but very kind of you to notice

Many of us have been relating our actual experiences of listening to our systems with these fuses installed. Your belief has no bearing on what I hear. Nonsence. My belief that you are psycho-acoustically fooled is as relevant as you believing you can hear a difference with your foo fuses. Being psycho-acoustic, that includes all your listening experiences. Nothing I have said is irrelevant or has no bearing. Your listening experience could be regarded as irrelevant because it is associated with the foo products you endorse, coupled with your psycho-acoustic influence which may be good for you and some others here but for many other people is simply a falsehood. Kinda fake news you happen to believe in, and some others don’t. As long as there are people like you around with the money to spend, the likes of MOD: vendor names removed as there is no evidence whatsoever of bad business practices will remain in business. Your listening insecurities are fodder for them. They feed on this, offering you the next best foo thing they can think of and despite your intelligence and rational competences (consider your day job) you are willing to be sucked in. So beit. As I have said many times before, if, owing to psycho-acoustic influence you believe you have a better sound, then good for you. I’m happy for you. However, this does not mean you have not been conned and have wasted your money, spent with some crook medicine doctor. Honestly, it really is a bit like the old Wild West films where they featured some quack on a wagon selling some miracal cure fo medicine. As you present, back in the day, you’d be first in the queue whilst I would not be a buyer.

"Your listening experience could be regarded as irrelevant"
So we are to discount listening experience and instead we are expected to take heed of a never-ending stream of assumptions. These include Martin's character, other people's motivations/morals and products you have written off without hearing.
Now that's nonsence.......or "nonsense" as the rest of us spell it.

...not to mention group experiences, repeated experiences from removing and reinstalling, etc. etc.
I am not going to argue with you, Greg, as it's futile. I know what I can hear and stand by it. If you haven't tried one of these fuses then now is the time to stop talking as you have no basis for making comments.

Which part of physics doesn't talk about non-linear thermal resistance effects, just for starters?
