Palmer got his excuses in early again today. He should go into politics.

His dad wasn't much good, either.

Palmer is like the new Rosberg for me, someone I dislike intently.

Lance Stroll is even more irritating.

Watching a detailed programme on drug taking in sport. One of the many mentioned was F1. Cycling, every journo's favourite just one of very many and not given any headline. Many sports are policed by their own bodies so not in their interests to blow the whistle, especially with the vast amount of money involved. Drugs for concentration favourite for F1. Some steroids for muscle building would also help.
Will we ever know ?

Hamilton needed that win to get back on terms with Vettel and he did the job very well. It's going to be neck and neck, this season.

I wonder what is wrong with Hamilton's car? It seems like they will have little chance to fix it overnight, due to parc ferme rules, unless they get special dispensation to repair a problem. If it is just settings, it shows how far in the wrong direction they can go.

Yep, he does seem more susceptible to car setups this year.

He did well to come 7th. Shame for Raikkonen that he didn't win.

Big shame for Raikkonen, he clearly looked pretty peeved afterwards and trying to be very diplomatic with his response. The talk is that it was set that way in favour of Vettel, although Ferrari as expected have denied that was the case.
The whole Perelli tyres and the whole associated ' getting them to work' 'in the right window' malarky is a pain in my opinion and way too much of a factor - and this is the pinnacle that is F1 ?!?
That aside, Ferrari have at long last put together a great car / package that additionally does seems to get the Pirelli's into that window and stay there a lot better than Mercedes and others at the moment so all credit to them.
Still hope Mercedes can get to the bottom of it in terms of set up and keep a real close fight / battle going to the end.

Nice job by Ferrari today, but Vettel was handed it which is a real shame for Raikkonen.
Lewis did remarkably well considering, but still ends up 25 points behind Vettel.

Jordan made the comment that he thinks that Mercedes could pull out at the end of 2018, and go back to just supplying engines. At the same time McLaren said that they have serious concern about not winning a championship with Honda. If Merc does pull out, it would not be improbable to suggest that McLaren could then again switch back to Mercedes. And Hamilton could well end up finishing his career back where he started.

Would be interesting Stan, but I don't necessarily believe that McLaren have a good enough car. But then again they have development time.
I'm am still of the opinion that Lewis may be heading to Ferrari soon.

The McLaren this year is a good car. With a decent engine it would be a front runner.
Hamilton could yet do an Alonso and rejoin them.

The McLaren looks like an reasonable car, but I don't see it competing with the top three teams (Mercedes, Red Bull, Ferrari) even with a decent engine. Not sure Hamilton would go back to McLaren, think he is more likely to look elsewhere like Ferrari, if he were to leave Mercedes or they left the sport.
