Alonso "I push . . . like an animal" after Sainz's engineer's comment.
Priceless!

LH44 due to make an announcement today. Rumours are retirement, signing a new contract with Mercedes or a move to MotoGP.
I hope he signs another contract with Mercedes, he's the one who keeps me interested in F1 currently.
Dont go yet Lewis !

Gosh, where did Hamilton get that pole from? Enormous effort rewarded, especially in view of Vettel being at the back of the grid.

Vettel being at the back of the grid. Karma in action Another stirling result from Ocon for 6th. And Pierre Gasly put in a solid debut, not a foot wrong and kept up with experienced Sainz. Please, please Max, don't be tempted on that first corner!

Doesn't seem to be losing his edge either INHO no chance he'll be a competitive rider in MotoGP Even most Superbike guys who get the chance fail. Would be cool though. Commentator maybe. No big deal with cutting out red meat / vegan.

I have never heqrd of him being connected to MotoGP in any way. He may have been on the grid once... Superbike is a different skill, F1 even more so ! Huge deal for most people to go vegan. Easy for some

Great lap by Lewis, showing to me at least that he's the best qualifier of his generation. Hopefully he can concert it into a win

Nice points margin for Lewis. Vettel has won a champ from this far back though. A way to go yet.
Vettel managing to have a run in on the cooling down lap. Rear wheel off a top of car. Dipstick! No need to be anywhere near the other drivers overtake etc. Pure dipstickery. Plus instant blame everyone else lol!

The Red Bulls were good today. Vettel did well in his charge to get 4th. Hamilton's gain was a good bit of sensible management.
More worryingly, what has happened to Mercedes' pace?

max had the legs on lewis today by less of a margin than it looks by the time gap, but didnt put a wheel wrong. smooth and consistent from start to finish and a well deserved victory, he drove like a proper champion in the waiting. lewis maintained the gap pretty much all the way through, and was imo sensible in not mixing it up with him on the overtake. knew he had a bit of a dog for a car today, so wasn't content with second, but used his head and took it. toto wolff described that merc as abit of a diva earlier in the season and he was right on the money. vettel deserves real respect for that drive, a great performance to get that ferrari back up to 4th. it was absolutely flying what happened to kimi though? i missed the start............ kimi, the morrisey of the paddock. he seems to get every bit of bad luck going.......

Great job buy Max today, he had the race won early on. Lewis had his sensible head on to allow Max through without challenging too much. Vettel was excellent right up to the point he drove into Stroll for know apparent reason, could screw up his final chances at the championship if he gets a gearbox penalty.
