I discovered music historian and raconteur Nicolas Slonimsky via this YT clip that was posted on Slipped Disc. It's an interview by Johnny Carson and an absolute riot, just so funny. What a guy! Having seen Marin Alsop in action a few times, she's impressive. Mirga Gražinytė-Tyla has just resigned from the CBSO so might be now in the frame for the LSO job. Brexit may be a deal-breaker though. ![]() |
