I remember those. The worst placed handles in the history of audio gear! I'd agree with Jerry on that one. I still reckon your best bet by far is the DC-300A

Ah, Amcron DC-300A - I've had one of those. Lovely amp - not quite the last word in rez, but beautiful sounding tonally, controlled, and enough power even for a crazed nutjob like Jules.

Ok boys I'm going to have a proper look at the Crown... Lots of power and bass grip I understand, with the bonus of a silver finish! Not stupidly expensive either.

Small footprint too. Wide, but doesn't go too far back.

Remember that if you buy from this seller, they've been through the amp and replaced everything that needs replacing. They're a pro audio company, so you won't get any audiophile flannel. Bear that rebuild in mind when you read stuff on the net written by people who have been listening to shagged out units bought from Cash Converters!

Joe? Aye... That was when Emmerdale was worth watching. And there was always a good spread on the table at teatime.

Sorry, I was not aware of any controversy.
Perhaps I should have realised when they stated RD would not repair them.
Does DSJR know their provenance ?
