Had a further thought about this one and I'd personally like to go with TASwap Shop - I like the idea of keeping the TAS connection and adding the additional work, prefer this over the other options Any other views or shall we go with it? The TAS SS. A nice uniform for members could be commissioned. Na, don't like that one, sorry.

Surely you have your headphone system, Tim? I can't imagine you with no music at all?! It's quite depressing Martin, feels like a part of me is missing. I do have about 50% of my music on my phone and listen with a pair of Sennhieser headphones, but I really need speakers. It's just not conducive to the environment I'm living in to do anything else. I love going on trips in my car, that's wonderful, but it's short term, hopefully I'll be sorted soon. Looking at motorhomes right now at the NEC, I fancy a year of traveling around Europe and I'll have music in there How could you possibly live with our music for a length of time , Headphones are great but they are very limited

A review is mandatory! Perhaps the first recipient of each album should start a unique thread dedicated to the album and when the next person receives it, they can add their thoughts? Agree that reviews should be mandatory. I'll create a thread for the list of CDs (post confirmation that they have been received by everyone) and then create separate individual threads for each of the albums which can then be used to place the reviews in once listened to. Think that'll be a good way to proceed, your thoughts?

Ok let's go with TAS CD Swap adding the word Shop may confuse people (outside the know) with the idea they can purchase something.

The TAS SS. A nice uniform for members could be commissioned. Na, don't like that one, sorry. Pity. I was all set for a fitting. The signed for will delay things for me. Normally, I have items redelivered to the post office and collect them after work on a Friday.

I disagree Paul. A lot of people have empty houses during the day and can't receive parcels at work. After all, it's only a CD. What's the worst that can happen?

Ok fair enough, I was just worried about the thought of the CDs being lost, but I guess it's only a tenner! Right everyone, there is no need to add signed for

Ok let's make a start: CD Swap Scheme Members:ChrisB jandl100 (Jerry) John MartinT Mr Whippy pjdowns Instructions:- Tomorrow is the beginning of the scheme (12th October 2016).
- Everyone on the list above should purchase a CD within the next 2 weeks and send it to the next person on the list (i.e. ChrisB sends to jandl100 (Jerry), Jandl100 (Jerry) sends onto John etc.).
- Members of the scheme should request the addresses to send the CD to via PM.
- CD price is entirely up to the individual who purchases it, but I would propose a maximum of £10 initially.
- Each member has 2 weeks to review before sending onto the next person on the list (i.e. John will send on the CD originally received from jandl100 (Jerry) to MartinT, MartinT will send onto Mr Whippy etc.), this will continue until everyone has reviewed everyones CDs (taking approx. 12 weeks).
- Once everyone has reviewed the CDs and you have received your own back from the last person on the list (i.e. pjdowns sends back to ChrisB), if you want to keep the CD then do so, if not, then offer it to the other scheme members, forum members or donate to a charity of your choice.
Ground Rules:
- No addresses or contact details are to be shared on the open forum (PM only).
- Anyone can join or leave the scheme, this includes new TAS forum members. (Please contact me if you would like to join the scheme and I shall add you to the list).
- New member of the scheme will be added to the list and join in on the next active cycle.
- Those intending on leaving the scheme can do so after the end of an active cycle.
- CDs must NOT be copied or imported onto a Music Server at any point - confirmed violation of this will be dealt with by the TAS forum Administrators and likely result in a permanent ban from the CD Swap Scheme.
- As the administrator of this scheme, I shall confirm when the scheme has come to the end of it's first cycle and the date we can begin the next cycle. Additionally, if there are any questions, concerns, please contact me.
- As the administrators of the TAS forum (MartinT, ChrisB, John and MikeMusic) have the right to close down or cancel this scheme at any point
I am sure that we will improve and enhance the experience of the scheme the more we do, but I believe this is a good starter-for-ten.
Here's looking forward to listening to some new music, hopefully everyone will enjoy the experience
Ground Rules updated.

Jerry will be getting a visit from the postie tomorrow, so we're ON! As this is an opportunity to discover new music I've chosen an album I've never heard before, by a band that I don't own any albums by and you lot get to hear it before me! (...and no, it's not on Spotify, either)

As 1st recipient of a mystery album I shall definitely be treating it with kid gloves to start with .... volume set LOW!! -- are the CD originators liable for blown tweeters?
