Two separate sets of 2.5mm armoured cable. Brilliant mate.

A new beginning - and yet another birthday. You must be really ancient by now, Martin. Happy birthday.

Well, you won't get it at 60 !
It's now tied in with the womens retirement age, whatever that will be ?
Free prescriptions are still 60 though.

I forgot to purchase the "auto-rebuild" option...

I forgot to purchase the "auto-rebuild" option... I don't envy the unpacking and set-up but it will be immensely satisfying once you are up and running!

Nice shelves with the CDs in Martin . I would have something like that if I had the room

I actually enjoy the unpacking and rebuilding bit!

I will enjoy it, but I'm too exhausted to care right now.
The shelves are IKEA Benno (now called Gnedby for some unknown reason).
Off until tomorrow then back to work on Friday (I took holiday, don't get teachers' holidays).

Power is done! Just some making good to do and then the painter arrives on Saturday. The sparky did it a little differently from James's installation, with the consumer unit and RCBs in the cupboard next to the incoming tails and meter. The Coherent 6D cable feeding my P10 regenerator is hard wired into an isolator on the wall and my Missing Link double silver socket is fed from its own cable and RCB. Impedance is low and noise is very low, which is very promising for sound quality. That's similar to the sort of breaker you get for a 32A hot tub install
The fewer friction contracts the better < thumbs up > Moving is exhausting, always more to do.

Your right Steve, it's an external rotary switch.

Made a start. It doesn't look much but I sorted the key alignments, setup the system rack true and level, installed the P10 regenerator and Belles power amp, vacuumed the settees and rebuilt them. Big tasks ahead: - Mount the SVS ISO feet on the plinths, need M12 bolts and to drill the feet holes out somewhat - Bolt the plinths to the speakers and somehow get them standing up and in position - Mount all the PicturePanels on the wall - Sort the CD towers back into order (the removal men put them all out of sequence) - Finish setting up the equipment on the rack - Order my selected rug for the floor (the one shown is my old smaller one, going into the study) - Mount curtain poles and drapes behind the listening position - Listen and tune The room is already sounding considerably less lively with just a trace of flutter echo. The PicturePanels, drapes and rug should sort that.

Thanks, Philip. I have a pillar drill somewhere in the garage, just needs fishing out and then I can get it done.

Is it me or do you have the speakers upside down?
A Chris says though, it is starting to come together nicely.

Hah - the boxes are upside down because we just happened to pack the speakers in that way.
The real test will be getting them down onto their sides and sliding the speakers with packaging out.

For kit moving I found RDC cones brilliant to move the P10, a heavy beast, even if they are not the final supports. Perhaps small solid objects can serve for the speakers like smooth rocks ... Larger objects like sofas move wonderfully well on old printing press trolleys, around 4" high. Then they have to be lifted off of course
