Go on then, Martin, how did you manage to get them on?

The photos are deceptive.
I ended up lifting the speaker sideways onto the Podium, with the point at the rear just missing the adjuster. Shuffling it centrally was an utter bastard as the speaker is smooth with nothing to gain purchase on except the ports at the back. Then I slid the whole assembly into position by small shoves at a time.
I also had to tilt the speaker a bit in the other direction to persuade the lead shot to get level.
I'm having a rest before taking on the other one.

Bloomin' hell that sounds like a mammoth task, nice job and good luck with the next one!

Second one done. It helped knowing how best to do it. I also levelled this one by tilting the speaker the other way to level the lead shot.
The adjustment feet seem counterintuitive and I must speak to Max about them. As it is, the speakers gently wobble at about 1Hz.
I've given the room a good vacuuming with the Henry and am letting the system warm up.
I had to laugh at myself as several times I went to lift a speaker upright and absolutely nothing happened!

Max is usually really helpful on the phone, but be prepared for a fairly long call!

Look what my speakers did to the sturdy washing machine feet! Done - both speakers on the Podiums, carefully aligned and wired up.

Max is usually really helpful on the phone, but be prepared for a fairly long call! And a very helpful guy too. I phoned him many years for a reference about a guy I almost employed. He put me off just very slightly

Very much looking forward to hearing what you hear Martin. The washing machine feet must be a lot happier now

Welcome to the club chief. I managed to get mine on un-aided, couldn't be arsed waiting for a helper, needed to hear them straight away! Mine were standard sized ones not custom made like yours. I hear Usher themselves are getting a pair made to use at shows.

I'm still too busy listening to write about them, David.
I'm glad to be leading the way with Ushers.
They are superb, will write more about them soon.

Another option is the Townshend Speaker Bars. I use the Podiums under my main speakers, but used some Bars under a pair of Neat Iotas as they have a down-firing bass and I wasn't sure how that would work out with the Podiums (and the Podiums would have way too big). My main objective was to decouple the speakers from the floor to save the folks in the apartment below; I could feel the vibration two rooms away without the bars and cannot at all with them. Not as big an impact sonically, but these are very small speakers and I have not done any critical comparisons (that was hardly necessary with the Podiums - the impact was blindingly obvious. They certainly had no negative impact.
Have fun, Martin.

I've written a short review here. Mike, Pete and David, by all means put your own experiences in, too.

LOL we both know I can't do that as your moderator colleague will be straight in as its a product I sell. I am really glad you finally have these after I suggested them yonks ago. They are one of the biggest no brainers in hifi if you have the funds obviously.
