There is CIX of course... Oh yes, of course. I am still a member of CIX, the UK's oldest forum. I first logged on in July 1989. That was pre-internet in the UK in any meaningful sense.

I use a fountain pen forum and a Rolex forum but only occasionally. We needs links Chris. I've never seen a fountain pen forum! Fountain Pen Network it's called ChrisB. Great for the latest in pens inks and stationery. Good for pen friends and writing tuition as well. Theres a non pen section as well.

Thanks Chris. It's always fascinating to get a glimpse into a parallel universe!

My suggestion was to create a sub forum which is not visible to the public (on TZ-UK this is called the Bear Pit), entry to which is dependent on the user having been a member for a stated period (say 2 or 3 months) and having made a minimum number of posts (say 100 or 200). This forum is un-moderated, apart from clearly illegal posts. People enter at their peril. The advantages are: attracts members to post to the forum who are genuine hifi enthusiasts forum owners can still ban members who post inappropriate posts in the censored areas The disadvantages are that site traffic will grow exponentially and server costs will be high. I would like the admins to please to reconsider their previous decision not to try this. We have discussed this suggestion at length and I am pleased to say that the Frequent Flyers' Club is now open for business. Thank you for your suggestion

I'm enjoying being able to discuss politics even though I realise many are turned off by the topic. We live in interesting times :-)

One of my well visited forums is www.paramotorclub.org/because I fly a .......paramotor, what else? Actually in a de-regulated sport the owner and a few others have created a very well respected training environment. Cheers

I could spot that in your avatar. It's great when enthusiasts get together in a forum over a common pursuit, I feel the same about the CR-Z Forum.

Excellent! Looking at the classified ads on that site, it seems like it's cheaper to get kitted up than I had imagined.
