I am tentatively unlocking this thread, hoping that everyone has had a beer, glass of wine or a coffee, slept well, eaten a good breakfast and generally taken a chill pill.

We don't mind debate but the personal attacks are unacceptable whether to other forum members here or elsewhere, unless stating a fact.

By the way, in my opinion Enid Blyton was a class author and gave me many, many hours of enjoyment as a child.  She was a person of her generation and should not be judged by today's standards.
