If you look at the fate of the world champions:
Vettel to Ferrari? Could do a Schumacher, most likely not. A couple of years of middling performances without a great car under him. Alonso to McLaren? There's no guarantee the Honda engine will be any good, but their weakness is really the car/aero. Hamilton stays at Mercedes. He will get another shot at the WC whatever happens this season. Raikonnen stays at Ferrari? He may yet get the car working to his advantage, can't get any worse. Button out? A great shame, he is smooth and consistent with a good car, but like Raikonnen he doesn't adapt well to a bad one.

If anyone is responsible for the current structure of F1 and for potentially putting it into a death spiral, it's Bernie. He's got his millions now and should go. We really need some fresh thinking and someone who actually cares about the sport.

Well i guess its all down to the last race between Ham & Ross, Close call, but you gotta go with Hamilton as 1st or 2nd place will do for him to clinch the title. (50 points up for grabs in Abu Dab).

It's all down to now. Qualifying starts shortly. Hamilton did a great job yesterday with fastest times in FP1 and FP2. Rosberg was better today in FP3, although Hamilton's purples (personal bests) at the end of the session suggests that he still has control and may even have been sandbagging. There's a lot of out-psyching each other going on and we'll see who is the real cool customer. Hamilton only needs to qualify 2nd, but I'm not sure he's going to settle for that.

He finished and won the world championship in style. An all- round fantastic season, still a great spectacle. My predictions for future champions: Ricciardo and Bottas.

It's really bad form to keep them waiting like this, knowing one or both of them are leaving. I still hope Jenson will be given a chance to show his experience against Alonso, let alone be summarily dispensed with.

Alonso looks more and more like a South American drug baron, especially with that pat of possessive "you're mine"!

They have all the qualities of a company that doesn't allow anyone to shine because the management interferes and makes uninformed decisions. It isn't teamwork, it's a rigid hierarchy. I've worked for a company like that. Nasty. The only thing to do is leave or wait your turn to take the hit.
