Yes, Lotus and Sauber can't be sitting that pretty either. Money's too tipped to the top if you ask me as it takes a good grid to make the proper spectacle!
Tennis is similar with the top few players getting lion's share of the money bucket.

Apparently Force India got close to administration. It's looking very bad all of a sudden.
Ecclestone's greed and bizarre management style must be partly to blame.

Still some worries over Mercedes reliability with both Hamilton and Rosberg suffering from strange gear changes and Hamilton's car having been found to have a 'race stopping' hydraulic leak.
Let's hope the cars are reliable for qualy and the race.

Rosberg's was fine... Hamilton suffering grabbing LF. I didn't realise the discs had to bake for 2 months to get them ready - bonkers but so what F1 should be about. Yet it's what's killing the less well funded teams.
Talk of boycott of new now back-marker teams! Lotus / FI / Sauber - won't happen, can't happen, after all the mess ups in the States before! Bernie really has lost the plot on getting the whole circus to work - not heard any comments from him. Will go a searching.

He has partially admitted that the money distribution is his fault, but that he can't easily do anything about it as it's all so locked up in contracts.

Just look at the American situation with their attempts at getting a basic health service going. All the haves don't want to spend a dime towards it while the have-nots have very little leverage.

A superb display of control and attack by Hamilton yet again. He maintains his advantage against Rosberg in every one-to-one encounter with him on track. What a pity that, despite any result in the next race, Rosberg could still win the championship in Abu Dhabi. That makes a mockery of their relative race wins to date.
Ricciardo once again impressed with his overtaking skills and Massa came so close to the podium. Button put up a great defensive display in a possibly defective car. Superb race track, great crowd, exactly what F1 needed.

Not a bad race at all. Good battles down the field too. Agree, Hamilton has outshone Rosberg in racing terms, no question.
Time for a new Bernie - either rejuvenate the one we have or a new one entirely:)

Anyway - I caught up on the last MotoGP - Now that was a race and a half. I prefer bike racing these day. Rossi getting the won on his 250th race. Marquez crashing out, Crutchloe so close to a 2nd place and throwing it down the road! Bradley getting a podium - lots to see and like in that race!

Is the current one fully human? Perhaps the real Bernie was replaced years ago with an F1 versioned GELF, Hologram or benign'ish Simulant, long since malfunctioning - Red Dwarf Concept style

Sad. I can see a similar Caterham announcement coming shortly.

Found this on another site! Quite an eye opener! So Bernie gets 36%! Marrussia were on a hiding to nothing - but Caterham should have been able to run at least one half decent (ok run around at the back) car on $59.8M Wonder where all of that $59.8M actually went?!

Looks to me that Caterham could find a buyer based on those figures. Marusia got done up like a kipper. Like to know who the 'other shareholders' are (Bernie's family?). He's a crafty old sod and has done everyone over to enrich himself. Someone should have had the gumption years ago to wrestle some of the pot away from him. About time they stopped giving special treatment to Ferrari - still can't run a decent car with all the extra money. At least Red Bull have earned it by producing a wining car several years running. They need to change the system and design rules so there is a level playing field. BTW Jensen Button looks like he may be on verge of quitting judging by recent comments. In spite of creditable driving performances he looks pretty unhappy. Perhaps his father's death has had an effect.

I'd love to know what the total investment figures are - i.e. how much did Merc pour in to be where they are for instance. Ferrari used to have an 'unlimited' budget (perhaps read that as, any meaningful expenditure judged to give a better chance of winning), and never got anywhere in 20 years. Seems they are well into another such draught. Who thinks Vettel could do a Schumacher on Ferrari. Can see the team around him somehow!
